"Hip-hop fashion is defined by its brazenness, its originality, its verbal symphony. Earlier this year, the Museum at FIT celebrated hip-hop fashion with an exhibition titled "Fresh, Fly and Fabulous: 50 Years of Hip Hop Style." After five decades, luxury and fast-fashion brands are collaborating with hip-hop designers instead of just being inspired by them. "Us not asking for permission to work with high fashion designers," Ambrose said. "All these are a result of the influence of hip-hop, hip-hop culture, hip-hop fashion.

Uber Eats has cut 8,000 virtual brands from its app. Uber Eats' virtual-brand policies come a year after Insider reported that DoorDash and Grubhub were cracking down on virtual brands. It also must be 60% different from any other virtual restaurant operating from that same physical location, Uber Eats said. At the start of the year, Park had 10 Asian-themed virtual brands listed on Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub. He said Uber Eats booted eight of his virtual restaurants from the app during the March purge.

CNN —Spotify executive and popular podcaster Bill Simmons has hit out at Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, labeling them “grifters,” after their multi-year partnership with Spotify ended on Friday. “I wish I had been involved in the ‘Meghan and Harry leave Spotify’ negotiation,” Simmons said on his self-titled podcast Friday. I have got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. John Nacion Imaging/ShutterstockCNN has reached out to both Archewell and Spotify for comment on Simmons’ remarks. Simmons previously criticized Harry in a January 2023 episode of his podcast, saying that he was “so embarrassed” to share Spotify with him.

Washington CNN —Music publishers sued Twitter for more than $250 million in damages on Wednesday, alleging that the social media platform “breeds massive copyright infringement that harms music creators.”The lawsuit alleges that for years, Twitter has allowed users of its platform to share copyrighted songs without a license. Twitter’s alleged permissiveness around users sharing copyrighted songs, combined with the social network’s promotion of tweets with copyrighted music, has unlawfully helped fuel the company’s growth, according to the National Music Publishers’ Association, whose members include Universal, Sony and Warner Music Group. “Providing free, unlicensed music gives the Twitter platform an unfair advantage over competing platforms, such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and others.”Twitter’s competitors, the music publishers said, all pay licensing fees to rightsholders for the ability to use the copyrighted music. The lawsuit cites the sweeping layoffs under Musk’s ownership that have eliminated entire teams at Twitter. It also highlights Musk’s own views on copyright, including a screenshot of two of his tweets from prior to the acquisition.

Americans are increasingly leaving big cities in states like California for affordable enclaves. Indiana towns are offering cash and other incentives for those willing to leave city life behind. One family shared with The Los Angeles Times the perks they cashed in on in Indiana. Other perks include coffee with the town's mayor Chris Jensen and memberships to a golf club and co-working space. May 10 (Reuters) - Roblox Corp (RBLX.N) on Wednesday topped quarterly bookings estimates on Wednesday, as a wider audience swarmed to the platform for games such as "Adopt Me!" Roblox said higher expenses due to developer exchange fees, personnel costs and infrastructure were the reason behind the bigger loss. "We also expect our operating expenses to increase significantly in future periods", the company said, adding it intends to continue to make investments to grow its business and hire more people.
