CNN —Travelers at LaGuardia Airport in New York got quite the wake-up call on Monday morning when a raccoon fell from the ceiling at a gate before they boarded the plane. Video shared on social media shows the chaotic critter scene at a Spirit Airlines gate where a raccoon can be seen clinging onto a cable that is hanging from the ceiling. The incident took place around 8 a.m., according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. “The raccoon was safely located and released outside, with no further sightings report,” the Port Authority said. “To ensure safety, airport staff is working closely with a professional wildlife control company to monitor the area, identify potential entry points, and implement necessary precautions,” the Port Authority said.

Citing Nathan's allegations, Liman on Tuesday ordered Giuliani to appear before him in New York on Thursday, and rejected a request from Giuliani's lawyer that the hearing be held remotely or in-person next week. "The entire Home Depot family is deeply saddened by the death of our co-founder Bernie Marcus," the company said. Born to Russian-Jewish immigrants in 1929, Marcus grew up in Newark, New Jersey, according to a biography shared by Home Depot. According to Forbes, Marcus had a net worth of about $11 billion at the time of his death. A longtime booster of Atlanta civic projects, Marcus donated $250 million to help build the Georgia Aquarium, among the largest in the world.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding a mutilated dolphin found dead on a New Jersey beach last week. Staff from the Marine Mammal Stranding Center examine a Common dolphin carcass that appears to have been butchered. The night before the grisly discovery, a common dolphin was reportedly struggling in the surf a block away, according to the stranding center. It is not known if the dolphin that was butchered was the same animal, the stranding center said. The remains were buried on the beach, the stranding center said.

A Massachusetts woman passed herself as a nurse and dispensed thousands of doses of phony Botox and other fillers that had been smuggled into the United States, authorities said. Since March 2021, Fadanelli "completed approximately 1,631 Botox appointments, totaling $522,869 in client payments, and 1,085 filler appointments, totaling $410,545 in client payments," federal prosecutors said. Fadanelli's attorney could not be immediately reached for comment on Monday. In an interview with agents Fadanelli said she never claimed to be a nurse and didn't make the injections, prosecutors said. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a warning in June, alerting consumers to "harmful reactions among people who received injections of counterfeit or mishandled" Botox.

Technology companies' push to directly power artificial intelligence with nuclear plants hit a major roadblock, after a federal regulator rejected a request to increase power for an Amazon data center. Constellation Energy and Vistra Corp. tumbled nearly 8% and more than 3%, respectively, in sympathy. The Amazon data center campus can still use 300 megawatts of power from the Susquehanna nuclear plant, according to Talen. The FERC decision does not impact Constellation's plans to restart the Three Mile Island nuclear plant in 2028 through a power purchase agreement with Microsoft . Tech companies are increasingly turning to nuclear power because it is reliable and does not emit carbon dioxide emissions.
