Ann Wang | ReutersThis report is from today's CNBC Daily Open, our international markets newsletter. CNBC Daily Open brings investors up to speed on everything they need to know, no matter where they are. Even though Nvidia's third-quarter revenue soared 94% on an annual basis, it's a slower pace than Nvidia's growth in the previous three quarters, when sales rose 122%, 262%, and 265%, respectively, as CNBC's Kif Leswing notes. The same goes for Nvidia's forward guidance: A growth of around 70% for current-quarter sales, compared with a year earlier. It appears that investors have enjoyed Nvidia's astounding performance for so long they've become desensitized to it.

The US government's lawyers said Google should be banned from offering "anything of value for any form" of search distribution. For instance, if most people click on the third result for a particular query, Google's search engine will likely adjust and rank that result higher in the future. They know that the search business is mainly about distribution, and Google may not be able to do this now. "We believe Google's default search placements via contractual agreements represent 50%+ of Google's US search queries," he estimated on Thursday. If half of Google's search queries go away, that could threaten the self-reinforcing cycle of user click data improving its results.

He did caution that the correction could be greater in stocks, like MicroStrategy , that are trading like leveraged versions of bitcoin. "I personally would tell my investors to buy straight bitcoin" instead of plays like Microstrategy, Novogratz said. The rally has continued despite a mystery seller that has been dumping crypto in recent days, Novogratz said.

Gautam Adani, India’s second-richest person, has been charged by U.S. federal prosecutors with fraud on accusations that he and several alleged co-conspirators sought to pay $250 million in alleged bribes to Indian officials. The defendants then “lied about the bribery scheme as they sought to raise capital from U.S. and international investors.”The scheme, according to prosecutors, occurred between 2020 and 2024. Gautam Adani, worth approximately $70 billion according to Forbes, heads the Adani Group, an industrial conglomerate that holds stakes in logistics and energy units. The findings from the short-seller, Hindenburg Research, caused Adani Group shares to tumble — but they ended up recovering following a favorable ruling related to the allegations by India’s Supreme Court. Adani has also received direct support from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, something India’s opposition party has highlighted.

Luxury retailer Burberry 's shares present an attractive investment opportunity after the company revealed a new turnaround strategy, according to hedge fund manager David Neuhauser. The stock, which is also traded in the U.S. and Germany, remains down around 40% year-to-date, however. Bond vigilantes may pressure Washington to address deficits, affecting fiscal policy decisions. Wall Street doesn't constantly look to Washington for investment advice or direction, but the bond market is one place where they definitely intercept. The tipping point would create headwinds for the bond market as bond prices drop. The deficit is another sore spot, as promised tax cuts could further shrink government revenue. And this must be done by showing how they will offset tax cuts and remain fiscally responsible.
