I traveled to a bunch of European countries, including France. Kayleigh DonahueI've always heard about Europeans traveling to multiple different countries each year, but I never understood how they were able to afford it. But once I moved to Ireland, I had access to several budget-friendly airlines and was able to do it myself. Airlines like Ryanair, Transavia, Vueling, and easyJet offered flights to other European countries at prices that worked for my budget. Sometimes, my friends and I could even find flights to countries like Italy for only 20 euros.

On the other missile Ukraine is receiving, the AIM-9X is a short-range air-to-air missile with an infrared seeker and is the newest variant in the Sidewinder family. The Russians are operating Su-35 and MiG-31 fighter jets that carry long-range air-to-air missiles like the R-37. With F-16s, Ukraine can potentially better use these weapons to degrade Russia's vaunted air-defense capabilities.

Few can forget the $3.5 million YouTuber-boxer Logan Paul blew on a pack of Pokémon cards that turned out to be GI Joe collectibles. He estimated that last year, PSA graded at least 6 million Pokémon trading cards out of the total 14 million it processed. It's made a lifetime total of more than 64.8 billion Pokémon cards since 1999, and production has been accelerating rapidly since the pandemic. Most customers wait a maximum of two months for their graded card, which returns with a rating between 1 and 10.

With billions at stake, that's pretty much been a guarantee facing the current market leaders, Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk , from the start. Their updates are likely to be joined by others in the coming months even as today's incumbents develop their own next-generation weight loss treatments. Other analysts have also grown more optimistic about the future of weight loss treatments. Orforglipron, a once-a-day oral GLP-1 drug that Lilly is working on, had shown a 3% weight loss at 4 weeks. The company is also exploring whether the weight loss treatment could be given only once a month.

The covert nature of Brahe’s work was common among alchemists of the Renaissance, who kept their knowledge close to the vest. “Tungsten had not even been described at that time, so what should we infer from its presence on a shard from Tycho Brahe’s alchemy workshop?” Rasmussen said. In addition to serving as Brahe's home, Uraniborg functioned as a scientific center where students across Europe came to live and work. And Brahe himself wrote that the king was eager to support the scientist’s work in both astronomy and alchemy. CNN —Tour de France champion Tadej Pogačar will not compete at the upcoming Paris Olympics due to fatigue, the Slovenian Olympic Committee announced on Monday. The Slovenian Olympic Committee cited “being too tired” as the reason for Pogačar’s withdrawal from the Olympics, according to Reuters, adding that his place in the team would be taken by Domen Novak. Pogačar crosses the finish line of Sunday's time trial in Nice, the final stage of this year's Tour de France. At this year’s Tour de France, Pogačar claimed six stage victories – the most since 2009 – and ultimately finished six minutes and 17 seconds ahead of Denmark’s Jonas Vingegaard. He capped off his latest title with victory in Sunday’s time trial in Nice, which marked the final stage of the race.

These were two of the visual cues for Bond Tower, a 50-story residential building and hotel that seems to trick the eye. Designed by Portuguese architecture firm OODA, the skyscraper will feature two connected structures that gently separate before rejoining one other, giving it a warped effect. Bond Tower was designed by the firm OODA, which has three more projects underway in the city. This month, OODA will break ground on a greenery filled residential tower called Hora Vertikale that was designed as a “vertical village,” according to the firm. On the avenue where Bond Tower will rise, Brito expects that OODA’s design will soon be joined by other high-rise companions.

Tadej Pogačar completes dominant Tour de France victory

CNN —A certain nonchalance has marked Tadej Pogačar’s ruthless overall victory at this year’s Tour de France, a race he has dominated from start to finish, accomplishing feats not achieved for more than a quarter of century. His fifth and sixth stage victories of the race followed on Saturday and Sunday, the biggest haul for any rider since 2009 and an enormous amount for a general classification rider like Pogačar. Not since 1948 has a rider won five mountain stages in a single edition of the race like Pogacar did this year. Their rivalry has shaped every edition of the Tour de France since 2021 when Denmark’s Vingegaard emerged as an unlikely challenger to a rampant Pogačar. Only young Remco Evenepoel, making his Tour de France debut, could remain within touching distance of these two, eventually finishing in third place, 9:18 behind Pogačar.

But Tadej Pogacar of Slovenia turned the tables on his rival and the defending champion, Jonas Vingegaard of Denmark, this year in the Tour de France, completing a smashing victory on Sunday to take his third title. Pogacar’s championship was confirmed in the final time trial from Monaco to Nice on Sunday. He capped his stellar three-week run with another stage win, his sixth, finishing 1:03 ahead of Vingegaard to take the Tour by 6:17 overall. “After two hard years in the Tour de France, always some mistakes,” Pogacar said. I am super happy to win here.”

European countries have also led in letting Ukraine use Western weapons to hit military targets in Russia. Shares of Nordea Bank , the Finnish lender, have been labeled "too cheap to ignore" by investment bank Berenberg. Net interest income – earned through the differences in rates offered to savers and borrowers — grew 7% year-on-year to 3.86 billion euros. "Trading on only 7.5x our [financial year] 2025 earnings — an 8% premium to the sector — we think Nordea is too cheap to ignore. However, the Berenberg analyst believes that Nordea's net interest income is relatively resilient, noting that "the market still underappreciates Nordea's [net interest income] stability, in our view, which contrasts favourably to that of more rate-sensitive Nordic peers." The analyst also said that recent challenges, including a slight miss on second-quarter net interest income expectations or a modest cost increase, should not deter investors.

In recent decades, mental health providers began screening for “adverse childhood experiences” — generally defined as abuse, neglect, violence, family dissolution and poverty — as risk factors for later disorders. In fact, the risk of moving frequently in childhood was significantly greater than the risk of living in a poor neighborhood, said Clive Sabel, a professor at the University of Plymouth and the paper’s lead author. “Even if you came from the most income-deprived communities, not moving — being a ‘stayer’ — was protective for your health,” said Dr. Sabel, a geographer who studies the effect of environment on disease. The study, a collaboration by Aarhus University, the University of Manchester and the University of Plymouth, included all Danes born between 1982 and 2003, more than a million people. Of those, 35,098, or around 2.3 percent, received diagnoses of depression from a psychiatric hospital.

But they may not yet be enough to make a difference on the battlefield, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy indicated in a discussion this week on what Ukraine needs, comparing the jets to the US-made Abrams tanks that Ukraine got last fall. "The problem with F-16," the Ukrainian president said, "is the number and the dates." The US sent only 31 M1A1 Abrams in total, and they were delivered to Ukraine months after British and German tanks. For comparison, Ukraine received about 300 US-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, nearly ten times more than the number of Abrams sent.

The new study revealed that fossils of ancient chromosomes survive in this skin sample. But the DNA from elephants was also needed to assemble the mammoth genome. The researchers hope to use the findings to assemble the woolly mammoth genome completely. “This structural information provides insights into functions of the woolly mammoth genome that were invisible using previous genomic methods,” Heintzman said in an email.
