New York CNN —US grocery prices ticked up in May after dipping in March and April.
Overall, grocery prices were 5.8% more expensive in May than they were a year ago.
Together, food prices jumped 6.7% throughout the year, once again outpacing overall annual inflation, which came in at 4%.
After falling for a few months, grocery prices ticked up again in May.
