It’s all part of Circa: Queer Histories Festival, which returns for a second edition of packing LGBTQ History Month — aka October — with events that explore and celebrate L.A.’s myriad queer legacies. “Los Angeles is not just a big city, it’s like a small country,” said Tony Valenzuela, executive director of One Institute, Circa’s organizer. “There’s just so much diversity here, folks from all over the world, and it has a really vibrant — not just queer and trans community, but queer and trans history. Washington CNN —New York magazine writer Olivia Nuzzi is publicly accusing her ex-fiancé Ryan Lizza, a prominent political journalist with Politico, of orchestrating a harassment and blackmail campaign against her after their split and while Nuzzi had a personal relationship with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Lizza, Politico’s chief Washington correspondent and Playbook co-author, wasn’t in attendance at a court hearing Tuesday where Nuzzi was granted a temporary no-contact order against him. Lizza hasn’t responded to the allegations in court, but he did provide a statement to CNN after being informed about the court action. Kennedy only met Olivia Nuzzi once in his life for an interview she requested, which yielded a hit piece.”A spokesperson for Nuzzi declined to comment further. New York magazine declined to comment.

It accuses Ethnos360 of failing “to provide any education or training regarding anything related to peer-on-peer child sexual abuse to anyone living on the Ethnos Campus” and failing to adequately investigate abuse allegations. did not tell anyone what was happening because the alleged perpetrator threatened to kill her family if she spoke up. As a result of that excitement, China ETFs are dominating the list of top performing funds in September, according to FactSet. The iShares MSCI China ETF (MCHI) was up about 22% on the month, while the KraneSharesCSI China Internet ETF (KWEB) was up more than 32%. Other top performers include the Global X MSCI China Consumer Discretionary ETF (CHIQ) and the Invesco Golden Dragon China ETF (PGJ) , with September gains of roughly 32% and 30%, respectively. The MSCI China Index's total annualized return during that period is under 1%. The average here is a gain of +78% over 176 trading days vs. a decline of -42% over 165 trading days," the note continued.

JERUSALEM — Almost 12 months of unbridled war, death, destruction and suffering in Gaza have proved the deadliest conflict on record for journalists. One year in, NBC News has spoken to 21 media professionals and organizations in the region who described killings, attacks and arrests by Israeli forces. The majority, 111, were Palestinians killed in Gaza, three were Lebanese and two were Israeli journalists killed by Hamas militants on Oct. 7. The pro-Trump cable outlet Newsmax and voting technology company Smartmatic settled a major 2020 election defamation lawsuit Thursday in a last-minute agreement to avoid a high-stakes trial. But in the run-up to the trial, Smartmatic’s hand weakened significantly, further raising the possibility of a settlement. Smartmatic has claimed that the lies promoted by Newsmax, Fox News, and other Trump allies destroyed its reputation and cost the company billions of dollars. However, as the Newsmax trial approached, Smartmatic’s lawyers reduced the company’s damages claim to approximately $370 million, according to statements in court. A deep water animal, the ghost shark is scientifically known as chimaera and is closely related to sharks and rays. “Ghost sharks like this one are largely confined to the ocean floor, living in depths of up to 2,600m (8,530 feet).
