According to Reuters, after selling more than 10,000 calendars, Bottas raised about $150,000 for the Movember charity. As Apple ’s vice president of real estate, design, and construction for 13 years, Bob Bridger helped design the tech giant’s glassy, expansive stores. When he built a home in Aspen, Colo., after leaving Apple in 2015, he brought some of that sensibility to the contemporary estate, which has floor-to-ceiling windows and a “clubhouse” building with a glass garage door. Through Bridger’s relationships with vendors from his time at Apple, he connected with the owners of a quarry in Marble, Colo., and was able to handpick the stone in the house. The charts show a big increase since 1960 in the consumption of goods and services by people over 60, with the biggest increase among people 75 and older. High school woodworking students in Colorado are building tiny homes for their teachers and staff. Teachers, already underpaid, face a mounting housing crisis in some wealthy Colorado cities, reports say. In a ski town with ultra-rich residents, high schoolers in Aspen High School's woodshop program are building a 200-square-foot tiny home for one of the district employees, The Colorado Sun reported. Aspen School District and Summit School District, both of which include resort towns, have both turned to student-built tiny homes for district employees – amid what state officials have called an affordability crisis.
