Repealing all the IRA's green energy tax credits, including the EV credit, would offset that cost by about $921 billion, it said. To wait and buy in 2025 is "too big of a gamble" given Trump's antipathy toward the EV credit, she said. There's no question there's real risk in the EV credit going away.

With the 10-year yield close to a key psychological level of 4.5%, there is concern that another move higher could lead to a downturn in the stock market. If the 10-year yield does break through the 4.5% level, technical patterns suggest it could make a significant climb. CNN —Thanksgiving dinner will cost less this year than last but will still be 19% higher than before the pandemic, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s annual Thanksgiving survey out Wednesday. The average cost of this year’s dinner for 10 people is $58.08, or about $5.80 per person, the survey found. The center piece of the Thanksgiving meal, the turkey, helped bring down the overall cost. But items like cubed stuffing and dinner rolls both increased by 8% because of higher labor costs, the AFBF said. The cost of the Thanksgiving dinner items varies based on location, the survey found.

Indians have become the biggest group of international students in the U.S., surpassing Chinese students this year for the first time in 15 years. New data released by the State Department in conjunction with the Institute of International Education shows that there are now 331,602 Indian international students in the U.S. (a 23% growth from last academic year), compared with 277,398 Chinese international students (a 4.2% decline). South Korea, Canada and Taiwan follow distantly as the next most common countries of origin for international students, with numbers all well under 50,000. Long the most populous at U.S. colleges and universities, Chinese international students have been falling in number every year since the pandemic. Chinese international students typically come with different priorities, Martel and Khanna said.

And now, as Trump continues to fill out the upper echelons of his transition and administration, some key donors appear to be in the fray. Chris Wright, the Liberty Energy CEO tapped to be Trump’s energy secretary, gave the campaign and affiliated committees more than $235,000. Marc Rowan, the billionaire CEO of Apollo Global Management, gave $1 million to Right for America, a pro-Trump super PAC. The super PAC also ran a controversial program that gave away $1 million checks to swing-state voters who signed Musk's petition. (His father, Charles Kushner, who was pardoned by Trump, gave that same amount, plus another $1.2 million to a pro-Trump super PAC).

For “Interior Chinatown” star Jimmy O. "The completion of Chancay Port will effectively consolidate Peru's role as a gateway linking shipping routes across land and sea, and between Asia and Latin America," the spokesperson said Friday. Experts say that the port cements China's growing position as a top trade partner of Peru and the rest of Latin America, as it supplants the U.S. in its own backyard. "The port of Chancay is seen as a game changer in the logistics of Latin America," Juan Carlos Ladines Azalia, professor of international affairs and international trade management at Peru's Universidad del Pacífico, told CNBC.
