Tenismanul elen, Stefanos Tsitsipas, s-a calificat pentru a doua oară la rând în semifinalele turneului de Mare Șlem de la Roland Garros. Tsitsipas a controlat impecabil partida, a cedat doar două game-uri pe propriul serviciu și a profitat din plin de cele 44 de erori neforțate comise de adversar. Pe tabloul feminin, rusoaica Anastasia Pavliucenkova a obținut prima ei calificare în semifinalele unui turneu de Mare Șlem, după ce a învins-o pe Elena Rîbakina din Kazahstan cu 6-7, 6-2, 9-7. Aceasta a dispus de iberica Paula Badosa cu 7-5, 4-6, 8-6 și, de asemenea, va evolua, în premieră, în semifinalele unei competiţii de Mare Şlem. Campionii de la Roland Garros vor obține câte 1 milion 400 de mii de euro.
