Most of our parent friends try to control for all the variables — school, teachers, and sometimes even friends or classmates — and we've learned that it rarely works as intended. Even though the school was "better" on paper, it did not mean it was the better academic situation for every student. My husband and I, who are actively hands-off when requesting teachers, broke our rule regarding our youngest starting pre-K in our public independent school district. As of Thursday, the Disney and Marvel film is the highest-grossing R-rated title of all time, surpassing Warner Bros.' "Joker." With $516.8 million in domestic ticket sales and $568.8 million from international audiences, "Deadpool & Wolverine" has exceeded $1.085 billion globally. "Deadpool & Wolverine" arrived in theaters late July on the back of a string of hits and misses from one of Disney's most bulletproof franchises. The last film released by the studio was "The Marvels," which arrived in November and had the lowest opening and lowest overall box office haul for an MCU film ever.

Goldman Sachs went big in the quarter, while rival Morgan Stanley trimmed its crypto holdings. In the period from March through June, Goldman Sachs made its debut in the crypto ETF market, purchasing $418 million worth of bitcoin funds. Up to this point, wealth management businesses have only facilitated trades if customers requested exposure to the new spot crypto funds. The vast majority of the bank's spot bitcoin holdings are now through the iShares trust. HSBC has nearly $3.6 million worth of spot bitcoin holdings, all from the fund issued by Ark 21Shares, UBS has around $300,000 worth of spot bitcoin ETF holdings, and Bank of America has collective holdings of around $5.3 million, mostly from BlackRock and Fidelity.

Airwallex, which was most recently valued at $5.6 billion and is backed by Tencent, has been tipped as one of many prominent fintech IPO candidates. Tencent -backed payments startup Airwallex has reached an annual revenue run rate of $500 million and will look to get ready for an initial public offering by 2026, CEO and co-founder Jack Zhang told CNBC in an exclusive interview. In the Americas region, Airwallex grew its revenue by more than 300% year-over-year, according to figures shared with CNBC. The U.K., Europe, and North America now account for more than 35% of Airwallex's overall transaction volumes, Zhang said. "In 2025, we will prepare everything, and we can decide what to do after 2026," he added.
