The Indiana man charged in the 2017 killing of two middle school girls was convicted of murder Monday, NBC affiliate WTHR of Indianapolis reports. The jury’s decision came after a four-week trial in which Richard Allen, 52, pleaded not guilty to murder charges in the Feb. 13, 2017 slayings of close friends Abigail Williams, 13, and Liberty German, 14. “Richard Allen is the ‘bridge guy.’ He kidnapped them and later murdered them. WASHINGTON — President-elect Donald Trump announced late Sunday that Tom Homan, the former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement who backed his controversial "zero tolerance" policy, will be his administration's "border czar." "I am pleased to announce that the Former ICE Director, and stalwart on Border Control, Tom Homan, will be joining the Trump Administration, in charge of our Nation’s Borders ('The Border Czar'), including, but not limited to, the Southern Border, the Northern Border, all Maritime, and Aviation Security," Trump said on Truth Social. "Likewise, Tom Homan will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin. “You know, insane asylums, that’s ‘Silence of the Lambs’ stuff.”Homan is the latest person Trump has announced will join his administration. Trump had previously announced that Susie Wiles, his co-campaign manager, will be the White House chief of staff.

For the most part, GM stock has traded in lockstep with Ford due to their histories and the cyclical nature of the automotive industry. Ford stock is off 10% as of Friday's close. Others, including Ferrari , which has been among Wall Street's top auto performers, are also trailing GM. Shares of GM under Barra, who started leading the automaker in January 2014, have been lackluster for investors for most of her tenure.

President-elect Donald Trump is unlikely to continue Biden's student-debt relief efforts. Two of Biden's debt relief plans remain blocked in court, keeping borrowers in limbo. "He's throwing money out the window," Trump previously said of Biden's debt relief efforts, also calling broad relief "vile" and illegal. If they secure the majority in both the House and Senate, legislation to rescind Biden's debt relief efforts has a chance of being signed into law. For now, millions of borrowers remain on forbearance as they wait for the courts to decide what will come of Biden's broader debt relief efforts, leaving their timeline for repayment in limbo.
