Many posts on TikTok and X, some of which garnered millions of views, speculated on the relationship between Thomas and Abraham. Thomas, who is based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was arrested in Dallas on Tuesday. Some TikTok users claimed to be “Mr Prada victims” and would make videos feigning distress when Thomas would like their videos, according to Know Your Meme. The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office said it found blood, sharp objects and other weapons in Thomas’ home, according to an affidavit for an arrest warrant. Terryon Thomas, a 20-year-old TikTok creator best known as Mr Prada, has been charged with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana announced Thursday. The popular Baton Rouge-based online creator was accused of driving the stolen vehicle of 69-year-old therapist William Nicholas Abraham, also of Baton Rouge, who was found dead on the side of a highway near Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, on Sunday. Thomas has been the subject of a social media frenzy after claims that he was involved in Abraham’s death went viral. Popular TikTok creator Terryon Thomas, known as Mr Prada to nearly 4 million followers, has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz conceded Tuesday night that he “misspoke” in the past when he claimed that he was in Hong Kong during the crackdown in Tiananmen Square in which China’s military attacked and killed pro-democracy demonstrators. The Minnesota governor said that he had been in Hong Kong during the summer of the Tiananmen Square protests, but not in June 1989, when the crackdown took place in and around the square in Beijing, the Chinese capital. The admission comes after news accounts contradicted Walz’s past contention that he was in Hong Kong as the deadly protests unfolded. Walz’s false claim that he was in Hong Kong during an epochal event in world history creates a vulnerability that Republicans will surely look to exploit.
