Talent agency Endeavor (EDR.N), which owns the mixed martial arts business, will tag-team with Vince McMahon’s WWE in deal valued at some $21 billion. The merger unveiled on Monday creates a new publicly traded company 51% owned by Endeavor and 49% by WWE shareholders. On paper, the WWE enterprise gets the sweeter valuation, at around 24 times last year’s EBITDA, whereas UFC is pegged at 19 times. Instead, in the grand tradition of wrestling, McMahon and Endeavor boss Ari Emanuel are trying to appeal to shareholders with a more unconventional thriller. Under terms of the deal, WWE is being valued on the basis of $106 per share, implying an enterprise valuation of $9.3 billion, according to the companies.
Because the company is hiring in NYC, which requires salary ranges on job listings, she saw that the intended pay for the new hire would be $32,000 to $90,000 more than her current salary. The Citi spokesperson adds the company has listed pay ranges on all U.S. job ads since mid-October. Following that discussion, Nguyen says the prospective company began undergoing layoffs and ended up rescinding their job offer. "As a contractor, I'm in a pretty vulnerable position," she adds. "The full-time employee conversion is being dangled in front of me like a reward that I'm not actually sure I'm guaranteed."

The e-commerce goliath recently added to its growing pile of debt with an $8 billion loan. After first tapping the market’s biggest bookrunners, Amazon enlisted Canada’s TD Securities to shop the lesser-traveled byways around Wall Street for the follow-up deal. It’s easy to understand why the wannabes would jump at the chance to work with Amazon. Others such as BBVA, which offloaded its American subsidiary but kept its broker-dealer business, are keen to expand in U.S. investment banking. For Amazon, spreading the wealth is a chance to trial new banking relationships before potentially hiring them for more complicated matters.
Online sales during the holiday season jumped 3.5% year over year to $211.7 billion, according to Adobe Analytics, as record high discounts persuaded shoppers to open up their wallets. The latest holiday numbers come as retailers brace for a tougher year and weigh if consumers are running out of gas. In a separate report, which includes in-store spending, holiday sales rose 7.6% in stores and online from Nov. 1 to Dec. 24, according to data from Mastercard SpendingPulse.
Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson testified she was "scared" about getting a lawyer from Trump world. Hutchinson told the January 6 committee she contacted family she didn't even speak to to get help. Hutchinson described the situation in testimony she gave on September 14, a transcript of which was released by the committee on Thursday. In her testimony, Hutchinson said Passantino pressured her to withhold information from the committee, and that others connected to Trump dangled the possibility of a job over her. "I believed Ms. Hutchinson was being truthful and cooperative with the Committee throughout the several interview sessions in which I represented her."

According to Hutchinson's testimony, released by the committee this morning, Passantino had pushed Hutchinson to give the committee as little information as possible. Hutchinson felt guilty that she wasn't giving the committee the whole truth. "So then I'm like, 'Oh shit," the 26 year-old Hutchinson told the committee. "The emphasis he placed on the moral questions that he was asking himself resonated with me," Hutchinson told the committee.

Catholic Charities, the local refugee-resettlement organization in Maine, was working with Omid's family to help them resettle. After Omid's family escaped Kabul, members of his extended family came by to collect some of their more precious items, and gave other things away.
“I have more steak knives in my back from Republicans that have turned on us and stepped on us for their own benefit,” Nevada GOP Party Chair Michael McDonald said at a recent event in Reno. In 2020, Biden carried Nevada by just more than 33,000 votes via a similar path of winning Clark and Washoe counties. "The Republican Party has lost its mind," Cashell said. “Here in Washoe County, we have made it abundantly clear that if you as a Republican damage the Republican brand, there are consequences,” Washoe County GOP Chair Bruce Parks said in an interview. The county, as well as other Republican county organizations in Nevada have formally censured Republicans, like former GOP party chair Amy Tarkanian, after she endorsed two Democrats in Tuesday’s election.
CNN —It’s not that Steve-O wants to die. And I say he was young, he looked great, he’d never been in any financial distress, he was on top of the world,” Steve-O explains. And I was mad at the idea of dying – like, not only am I gonna die young having failed, but like, everybody’s gonna die,” he says. “It’s a book of wisdom, which I’ve gleaned from clearly a lifetime of terrible decisions,” he says, laughing. The idea at work in the book, he says, is to help, but also poke fun and the ridiculousness of him being a self-help author.
