This is the shortest column I’ve ever written — because it doesn’t take long to get things in focus:President Biden, you are meeting Wednesday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, for the first time since he returned to office in December. I hope you won’t proceed without getting satisfactory answers from Netanyahu on three key questions — so we know just what Israel, and just which Bibi, we’re dealing with:1. Do you intend to annex the West Bank, or will you negotiate its future disposition with the Palestinians? Iran, meanwhile, moved in with a diplomatic offensive, patching up its ties with all your Arab neighbors and eating your lunch. Prime Minister, the Saudis are ready to do something hard — normalize relations with Israel.

Ford Motor could face a strike in Canada if no agreement is reached by 11:59 p.m. Monday with the union representing about 5,600 Canadian auto workers, just days after workers at one of its U.S. plants went on strike. On Friday, the United Auto Workers union launched a targeted strike against Ford, General Motors and Chrysler-parent Stellantis , targeting one assembly plant at each company. Canadian union Unifor, whose contract with Ford expires at 11:59 p.m. Monday, said "while we remain at the table the likelihood of a strike increases with each passing hour." Ford has two engine plants in Canada that build V-8 motors for F-series and Super Duty pickups assembled in the United States. Ford on Friday furloughed 600 workers who are not on strike at the Michigan Bronco plant because of the impact of the work stoppage.

That was the biggest challenge, particularly given what was going on in the world. Would you say sometimes the biggest challenge is — and I have it — imposter syndrome? Sept 13 (Reuters) - England bowling all-rounder David Willey said he is ready to do the "donkey" work if it will help him secure a place in the squad for the upcoming Cricket World Cup after missing out on the last edition. Willey had been in the running for England's 2019 World Cup squad but was ditched to make way for Barbados-born fast bowler Jofra Archer. I'd have given my left arm to be a part of the last World Cup. Willey has managed to stay injury-free for much of his career and said his robustness could be crucial for England over the six-week tournament. The UAW president has rattled automakers with combative rhetoric, delivered via Facebook Live videos, including one where he threw contract proposals from Stellantis into a trash can. U.S. President Joe Biden on Monday urged the automakers and the union to come to a "fair agreement." The three automakers have signaled such a move would add billions in liabilities and make their unionized U.S. operations uncompetitive. Fain said the union's analysis concluded that the automakers could fund defined-benefit plans for roughly the same cost as current 401(k) savings plans. Walkouts at the Detroit Three could benefit Tesla (TSLA.O) and other non-union automakers including Toyota Motor (7203.T), Honda Motor (7267.T), Nissan Motor (7201.T) and Hyundai Motor (005380.KS), Anderson said.

It is the biggest what-if of the latest indictment of Donald Trump: What if Republican leaders in Congress had supported impeaching Trump and barring him from holding future office as punishment for his role in the Jan. 6 attack? Soon, though, Republican leaders changed their minds. They feared that banning Trump from future office would anger their own voters. There was little question that members of Congress had the authority to ban Trump permanently from federal office. But once they chose not to do so, the legal consequences for Trump’s actions became much murkier.

Microsoft has named the next default font for its productivity applications, such as Word and Outlook, after testing five candidates it introduced in 2021. Aptos will remain available in the font list under the old Bierstadt name for people who are accustomed to it. In 2019, Microsoft asked font designer Steve Matteson to develop a font in the grotesque sans-serif style that includes the classic Helvetica. The company didn't let on that it was considering it as a possible successor for Calibri, Matteson said in an interview with CNBC this week.
