A hydrogen sulfide leak was reported Thursday evening at a Pemex facility in the Houston suburb of Deer Park, the city said. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said workers were working on a flange when there was a leak of the chemical. A shelter-in-place order was issued shortly after 7 p.m. local time "out of precaution," and Deer Park asked nearby residents to stay inside and close doors and windows. A Black teacher and musician told a federal court Thursday that members of a white nationalist hate group punched, kicked and beat him with metal shields during a march through downtown Boston two years ago. Charles Murrell III, of Boston, was in federal court Thursday to testify in his lawsuit asking for an undisclosed amount of money from the group’s leader, Thomas Rousseau. “I thought I was going to die,” Murrell said, according to The Boston Globe. The newspaper said that U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani last year found the group and Rousseau, of Grapevine, Texas, liable for the attack after Rousseau didn’t respond to a civil lawsuit Murrell filed. The march in Boston by about 100 members of the Texas-based Patriot Front was one of its so-called flash demonstrations it holds around the country.

DALLAS — Newly emerged film footage of President John F. Kennedy’s motorcade speeding down a Dallas freeway toward a hospital after he was fatally wounded sold at auction Saturday for $137,500. The auction house said the buyer wishes to remain anonymous. The film then picks up after Kennedy has been shot, with Carpenter rolling as the motorcade roars down Interstate 35. Projecting it onto his bedroom wall around 2010, gates was at first underwhelmed by the footage from Lemmon Avenue. The auction house has released still photos from the portion of the film showing the race down I-35, but it is not publicly releasing video of that part.
