Invesco, a minor shareholder in Swiggy, in May valued the Indian company at around $5.5 billion, it said in a filing. Swiggy had initially considered raising $800 million to $1 billion via the IPO, banking sources who worked on it in early 2022 have said. The planned end of the MINUSMA mission follows years of tensions between the U.N. and Mali's military junta that came to a head this month when Mali Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop asked the force to leave "without delay". Both companies operate in the stagnant satellite-video market and so would have been doubling down on an old technology. And the combined company would have been burdened with a heavy initial net debt load of around 4 times combined EBITDA, according to Deutsche Bank analysts. It wants to broaden its business to new areas, like the medium earth orbit constellations, which provide quick internet connections in hard-to-reach places.

June 5 (Reuters) - Danish drug developer Novo Nordisk said on Monday it had started talks to buy a controlling stake in French medical device designer Biocorp (ALCOR.PA). The price represents a premium of 19.5% over Biocorp's closing market price on June 2 and the transaction values Biocorp at about 154 million euros, the companies said. Certain minority shareholders, representing 19.0% of the share capital of Biocorp, will also transfer shares to Novo Nordisk and the transaction will be followed by a squeeze-out procedure. The block purchase should take place during the third quarter of 2023 and the filing of the subsequent offer should take place in September 2023, Novo said. June 2 (Reuters) - Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) is in talks with several telecom providers to offer low-cost or possibly free mobile phone service to U.S. Prime subscribers, Bloomberg News reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter. Talks between Amazon and Dish were reported last week. The reported talks come as Amazon faces a slowdown in new sign-ups for the Prime service, its key loyalty program that offers subscribers faster shipping and video streaming. For telecom companies, a resell partnership with Amazon could serve as a means to attract new users and boost revenue. TAIPEI, June 1 (Reuters) - Taiwan and the United States will sign the first deal under a new trade talks framework on Thursday, both governments said, boosting ties between the two at a time of heightened tensions with China over the democratically-governed island. Taiwan and the United States started talks under what is called the U.S.-Taiwan Initiative on 21st Century Trade last August, after Washington excluded Taiwan from its larger pan-Asian trade initiative, the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework. The U.S. Trade Representative's office said Deputy United States Trade Representative Sarah Bianchi would attend the event, but also did not elaborate. Last month, the two sides reached agreement on the first part of their trade initiative, covering customs and border procedures, regulatory practices, and small business. Beijing has denounced the trade talks as it does with all forms of high level engagement between Taiwan, which it claims as its own territory, and the United States.
