Prevesk moved to Florida in 2018 for a business opportunity after his mother died. The constant heat and "disingenuous" lifestyle he's experienced in Florida have pushed him to look for residences in California once again — and he's willing to pay up. Officials encouraged people to switch to public transit to alleviate bad traffic from road closures. For native Angelenos and the millions of visitors who've traveled to the area, Los Angeles car culture is simply a way of life. According to The Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority saw a 10% bump in ridership on the E Line light rail train that runs through downtown Los Angeles on the first two workdays after the incident. While it's too early to know if public transit ridership will be up in November, a reimagined vision of traversing Los Angeles has long been overdue. The transit system simply isn't woven into the fabric of Los Angeles compared to cities like New York and Chicago.

"Gaza's economy is 100% dependent on two sources of revenue: foreign aid and access to Israel's labor market. According to the United Nations, during the 1970s and 1980s, the Palestinian economy saw relatively strong capital inflows, largely due to remittances from Palestinian workers in Israel and the Gulf countries. Things changed after Hamas gained power in Gaza in 2006 when Israel relinquished its control of the enclave. Perhaps the most famous are the bold gold zodiac medallions the house introduced in the 1950s and again in the 1970s. Those vintage pieces are in high demand again, along with its latest series of statement-making hard stone and gold pendants carved with the signs of the zodiac. It’s a sign of the times: Designers and retailers say zodiac symbols are now among the most popular modern jewelry talismans. During these tumultuous times, more people are turning to jewelry with meaning and pieces that are personal and lasting, said Briony Raymond, a fine jewelry designer in New York who offers both vintage astrological pieces and her own designs. “These talismanic jewels can be comforting and put things in the context of the bigger universe,” she said.

People will be able to shop for Hyundai vehicles on Amazon through an agreement with the South Korean automaker. Laws in most US states protect auto dealerships from automakers who might want to sell directly to consumers. Amazon customers will be able to search dealership inventories through the Amazon website, see pricing for vehicles, and click a button to initiate a purchase. This arrangement was announced as part of a package of deals between Hyundai and Amazon, including that Amazon will provide data storage for Hyundai and that future Hyundai models will include the Alexa voice assistant. Hyundai dealers won’t have to participate in the program, but can opt-in.
