The claim surfaced on social media after hundreds of thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched through the British capital on Nov. 11. The clip also appears in an Instagram post (archived) from Aug. 21, 2023, with a caption that indicates that the video shows a “Kursus Pengurusan Jenazah” which translates to “funeral management course”. A keyword search on the institute's Facebook page leads to a post (archived) that mentions a "Body Management Course of IKM TSYA Students", with Darul Ulum mosque as the venue. The Facebook page has photographs from the same venue that match the walls (archived) and the flooring (archived) of the building seen in the video. The video was filmed in Malaysia, not Gaza, and predates the 2023 Palestinian-Israeli war.
