CNN —Two Georgia election workers who won a massive verdict against Rudy Giuliani because he defamed them after the 2020 election are asking a federal judge to hold him in contempt of court. The pair, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, say Trump continues to repeat harmful lies about them on his nightly broadcast, in defiance of court orders. Accordingly, the Court should hold him in contempt and enter civil contempt sanctions,” Freeman and Moss’ lawyers wrote to Judge Beryl Howell in the DC District Court. Howell presided over the trial where a jury found Giuliani defamed Freeman and Moss so severely that he should pay them $150 million. He has already lost his law license because of his work for the Trump campaign in 2020, which included his efforts in Georgia.

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Wednesday said consumers right now aren't focused on brand names, but on companies that can provide the most value. The big box retailer cut its full-year guidance, and management said it saw weakness in discretionary products despite price cuts. Although the two retailers offer similar products, Cramer said Walmart is simply more affordable. He also named other discount outfits that are seeing success despite a tough consumer landscape, including Costco , TJX , Chili's-parent Brinker and Texas Roadhouse . On Wall Street, this focus on value extends beyond consumer companies and to sectors like tech, Cramer added.

On Wednesday, Smith will have her chance to make her argument before the parole board, according to the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services. Inmates in South Carolina are allowed to receive and send letters but cannot legally communicate with journalists in person or on the phone. Smith and the filmmaker discussed shooting the documentary after the parole hearing and how she would be paid for her participation, according to an incident report. Pope is against Smith’s parole and said he will be speaking before the parole board at the hearing Wednesday.
