New York CNN —The owner of “woke-free” online marketplace PublicSquare exploded in value on Tuesday on news that Donald Trump Jr. is joining the tiny company’s board of directors. A person familiar with the matter confirmed to CNN that Trump Jr. is set to join the board of PSQ Holdings, PublicSquare’s parent company. The arrival of Trump Jr. was first reported by Bloomberg News. Malik is the president of 1789 Capital, an anti-ESG venture capital firm that Trump Jr. has reportedly joined. As the summer of 2023 ended, the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court began trading even-more-confidential-than-usual memos, avoiding their standard email list and instead passing paper documents in envelopes to each chambers. Faced with ethics controversies and a plunge in public trust, they were debating rules for their own conduct, according to people familiar with the process. But a New York Times examination found that behind the scenes, the court had divided over whether the justices’ new rules could — or should — ever be enforced. Justice Gorsuch was especially vocal in opposing any enforcement mechanism beyond voluntary compliance, arguing that additional measures could undermine the court. The justices’ strength was their independence, he said, and he vowed to have no part in diminishing it.

Frontier Airlines planes are parked at gates in Denver International Airport (DEN) in Denver, Colorado, on August 5, 2023. Frontier Airlines , one of the world's biggest budget airlines, is adding first-class seats. Starting in September, Frontier plans to start ripping out the first two rows of its three-by-three economy seats to add four first-class seats, in a two-by-two configuration. "While we have the lowest costs in the industry, we don't have the best revenue model," Biffle said in an interview. Biffle said the company's biggest gaps in its revenue model came from not offering first-class seats and not having enough rewards for its loyalty program members.

CNN —Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused of sexual battery by a woman who claims that in September 2016 the music producer dangled her from a 17-story balcony as others were on site, including his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Once Combs gained entry, he spotted Bongolan on the balcony and “advanced on her,” the suit states. This alleged incident, however, was stated in Ventura’s suit as having taken place after an August 2015 so-called freak-off, the term prosecutors and others allege was used to describe Combs’ drug- and sex-fueled parties. In May, CNN published a surveillance video that showed Combs physically abusing Ventura in 2016 in a Los Angeles hotel. Combs apologized two days after the video was broadcast in a video shared on social media.

For roughly a decade after that first auction, he continued to broker deals the conventional way — for American sellers, Aussie-style auctions were a tough sell. Real-estate auctions are a time-honored tradition in Australia, dating back more than 200 years to its days as a British colony. But in times of healthy demand for homes, auctions can deliver benefits for sellers looking to ride out the frenzy. "I don't think the American consumer is ready for auctions yet," says Rob Hahn, the CEO of Decentre Labs, a company he started in 2022 to bring online real-estate auctions to the masses. The biggest beneficiaries, Duby tells me, may just be real-estate agents: When buyers and sellers are shuffled through this murky process, they'll look for a professional guide.

Honeywell 's new partnership with Canadian planemaker Bombardier makes it clear that the American industrial conglomerate's aerospace business should be operating on its own, Jim Cramer said Tuesday. A new fund hitting the market on Tuesday has a phrase in the title that ETF investors are about to become very familiar with: private credit. There is now a few trillion dollars in private credit assets under management, but the total addressable market for the asset class in the U.S. could top $30 trillion , according to consulting firm McKinsey & Company. The use of collateralized debt obligations, which pool a bunch of private credit loans together, is one approach. "The big hurdle to clear in investing in private credit in an ETF is liquidity. One high profile example is the proposed SPDR SSGA Apollo IG Public & Private Credit ETF, a collaboration between ETF giant State Street and Apollo's private credit expertise.
