The second-largest donation in 2022 to the non-profit arm of Future Forward, the primary Super PAC supporting Biden, came from a group run by James McClave and Emily Berger. That’s more than any group other than the George Soros-linked Open Society Policy Center, which gave $15.2 million that year. That trend is set to continue this year: Future Forward has announced plans to run the largest ever political advertising campaign by a Super PAC in 2024. Computer science is not a new major at top schools, but with AI jobs in high-demand, there's a growing list of colleges and universities offering a four-year "AI" degree specifically. These programs generally move beyond the foundations of computer science to home in on topics such as machine learning, computing algorithms, data analytics and advanced robotics. Purdue University offers an AI undergraduate major, while many colleges and universities offer AI classes within their computer science department, even if there's not a dedicated major. The rise of AI-specific degree programs comes as companies are short on talent for this fast-developing field. According to the Georgetown University Center for Security and Emerging Technology, AI degrees have bucked the general trend in education since 2011, with positive degree conferral growth versus negative growth across all degree areas.

CNN —Twenty-four floors up a Manhattan high rise, the photographer Ahn Jun sat on her windowsill one crisp day in 2008, dangling her leg precariously outside over the city. In the self-portrait series, Ahn sat on roof corners and building ledges, sometimes showing her whole body perched on the edge; in others, just her legs and feet are visible above the straight vertical drop below. It wasn’t a sudden interest in thrill-seeking behavior, but a more conceptual idea that Ahn was chasing: the sense of the void. The first time she looked out over her apartment’s edge in Manhattan seemed to her to crystallize that feeling. Soon, she was flooded with emails, Ahn explained, some with positive feedback, but others critical of her work, or sexually harassing her.
