Meta is teaming up with Snapchat and TikTok as part of a new initiative to prevent content featuring suicide or self-harm from spreading across the social media platforms, Meta said Thursday in a blog post. Under Thrive, Meta will identify content that features suicidal themes or self-harm and flag that content to TikTok and Snapchat so they can also investigate if the same or similar content has been posted to those apps. "I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election," Swift said in a post on Instagram to her more than 283 million followers. Swift's endorsement came as a surprise to the Harris campaign, two campaign officials told NBC News. Swift threw her support behind President Joe Biden and Harris during the 2020 presidential election. In the Instagram post, Swift also criticized social media users who have circulated images generated by artificial intelligence falsely stating that she had endorsed the Trump-Vance ticket.
