CNN —A 26-year-old British man has died after falling from Spain’s tallest bridge during an attempt to climb one of its pylons. CNN —One of two suspects accused of impersonating utility workers before killing a Michigan man and tying up his wife was taken into custody without incident in Shreveport, Louisiana, on Saturday, authorities said. Murray’s wife was tied up and her hands were duct taped before she called 911 Friday and told officials she thought her husband may have been kidnapped, the sheriff’s office said. “While checking the house to make sure it was safe, deputies found the husband’s body in the basement,” the sheriff’s office said. Falaise is one of three 100-year-old mansions open to tour at Sands Point Preserve on Long Island. Falaise was built by Harry Guggenheim in 1923 and was modeled on a 13th-century French manor. Inside Sands Point, there are four mansions. In September, I visited Sands Point to see Falaise, the most mysterious of the three — tours are only available on weekends and you can only get there via Sands Point's transportation. New Delhi CNN —India has confirmed its first case of a deadlier strain of mpox, which has raised alarm among health officials around the world over the rapid pace of its spread. On Wednesday, the state’s Health Minister Veena George hailed Kerala’s “robust health care system” for detecting the case. The strain has since been detected in several countries outside Africa, including Sweden and Thailand. Mpox, formerly known as monkeypox, is a viral disease that can spread easily between people and from infected animals. Clade II was responsible for a global outbreak that WHO also declared a global health emergency from July 2022 to May 2023.

He positioned himself outside the fence at the sixth hole of the course on Sept. 15, before a Secret Service agent scouting one hole ahead of the former president’s group spotted him and the barrel of his gun. At the time he was seen, Mr. Routh had aligned himself directly to the sixth hole, with the intention of shooting Mr. Trump from a relatively short distance with a semiautomatic rifle, prosecutors said. The rifle, equipped with a scope and left at the scene, had a bullet in the chamber and a total of 11 rounds. “I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster,” Mr. Routh wrote in a note placed inside a box, left at a friend’s house, found by investigators after he was arrested. “It is up to you to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.”
