In a recent meeting with Raimondo, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger voiced frustration over the heavy reliance that U.S. companies have on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing , the world's largest contract chipmaker. ☆ Wildfires burn out of control in Southern California and more evacuations ordered

In recent years wildfires have regularly burned in and around Wrightwood, a picturesque mountain town 60 miles east of Los Angeles known for its 1930s cabins. In neighboring Orange County, firefighters used bulldozers, helicopters and planes to control a rapidly spreading blaze called the Airport Fire that started Monday and spread to about 3 square miles in only a few hours. Concialdi said the fire was burning away from homes in Orange County, but there are 36 recreational cabins in the area. Residents along the southern edge of Big Bear Lake were told to leave the area Tuesday night, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. The blaze had charred more than 51 square miles of grass and brush and blanketed the area with a thick cloud of dark smoke.

DENVER — Four men were fatally shot and a woman was hospitalized with gunshot wounds during a spate of weekend violence in the Denver suburb of Commerce City. A person of interest in one of the cases was later found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot, police said Sunday. In Denver itself one person was killed and six people injured in a string of weekend shootings and stabbings, police said. A man and a woman were shot, and the man later died. Officers returning to the scene of the gunfight found a male who had been shot dead in the yard of a residence, Small said.

Of 18- to 29-year-olds, 11% are living without a bank account, compared to 9% of 30- to 44-year-olds, 5% of 45- to 59-year-olds and 2% of people 60 and older, according to the Federal Reserve. People without bank accounts might also turn to check cashing services or consider payday loans, especially if they're the only brick-and-mortar financial services in their neighborhood.
