WASHINGTON — Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday said she strongly disagrees with criticisms of groups of people based on the candidate they support. “President Biden was very clear that he’s speaking about the rhetoric we heard at that [rally] so it doesn’t undermine it," Walz said on "CBS Mornings." Harris has sought to walk a fine line in criticizing Trump while not alienating his supporters, pointing to Trump's divisive rhetoric. During an interview this month on Fox News, anchor Bret Baier asked Harris if she thought Trump voters were stupid. "Even as they’re trying to argue that President Biden is disparaging Trump voters, the president is calling the entire country a trash can."

It is clear what Russia stands to gain from an influx of some 10,000 North Korean troops to aid its war in Ukraine. North Korean troops are expected to help with that. North Korea, for its part, needs a partner that will shield it from the United Nations Security Council as it pursues its nuclear ambitions. “North Korea is trying to get as many benefits as it can from this relationship,” said Edward Howell, an expert on North Korea at the Chatham House think tank. “If thousands of North Korean troops learn how to survive on a battlefield full of drones,” Gabuev said, “that is a lesser problem than North Korea having quieter nuclear-capable submarines.

“Hey hey, ho ho, thank you, Joe, it’s time to go!”The success of former President Donald Trump’s campaign is becoming a catastrophe for sitting President Joe Biden. A fundraising appeal from the Biden campaign says, “How does a guy who used to say that Donald Trump and his policies were ‘reprehensible,’ become Donald Trump’s running mate? Through years of being a rubber-stamp for Donald Trump’s extreme, MAGA agenda. Women voters, whom the Trump campaign desperately needs, start posting cat memes sharply critical of Vance’s views. But even though Trump is casting himself as the martyr, within days it will seem he was playing the prophet.

MIAMI — With less than two weeks before the presidential election, NBC News and MSNBC checked in with a group of voters in Florida’s Miami-Dade County, where 69% of its residents are Latino. In the six months that followed, the race changed drastically, with Biden dropping out of the race and Vice President Kamala Harris becoming the Democratic presidential nominee. The conversation took place as Harris and Trump criss-cross the country amid an evenly split presidential race, with both candidates appealing to the growing Latino electorate in appearances at separate town halls. We wanted to know how these voters are thinking about the race now and the issues that matter to them. They also discussed the urgent need to find common ground — and lower the temperature of the political rhetoric.

She had gone to lunch five days earlier with her fiancé at their local McDonald’s in North Platte, Nebraska. A McDonald’s spokesperson said Wednesday that slivered onions served on the Quarter Pounders were likely to have been responsible for the outbreak. On Thursday, the company said one of its suppliers, Taylor Farms, had provided slivered onions to locations associated with the outbreak. “When you go to a restaurant, you are trusting that the restaurant did everything they could do to make you safe, but in this case, McDonald’s breached that trust,” Simon said. McDonald’s has paused the distribution of slivered onions in the affected areas and temporarily removed the Quarter Pounder from affected restaurants.
