There, he told a story of a helicopter ride with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown that Mr. Brown denies. “It was Willie Brown,” Mr. Trump, who spent much of the last year hoping to make gains with Black voters, posted. Ms. Res, who also spoke to Politico, recalled that Mr. Trump liked to say that Mr. Holden had “turned white” from fear, but that it was actually Mr. Trump whose face was ashen. Mr. Brown told him he had never been in a helicopter with Mr. Trump. “He was not fan of hers very much, at that point,” Mr. Trump said.

Pyle started answering strangers' questions about their gas and diesel engines on JustAnswer as a side hustle in October 2006. He quit his full-time $75,000-per-year job at Ford Motors when JustAnswer outpaced his salary in 2012, Pyle says. Pyle made $170,500 in 2023, an average of $14,200 per month, on JustAnswer, according to documents reviewed by CNBC Make It. His monthly income is more than three times as much as the national median monthly side hustle earnings and mechanic's salary combined. Most people undergo a knee replacement due to osteoarthritis in the joint, which can cause pain, swelling and less knee mobility. “We’ve always had this idea that muscle mass matters and helps protect joints,” said Miller, who was not involved with the study. The data that van Meurs and her colleagues studied came from people with an average body mass index of 26. “Before engaging in a lot of weight-bearing activity, do some training in the gym to strengthen your leg muscles,” van Meurs said. And if you’re going to take up a weight-bearing activity such as running, start slowly.

Ortberg climbed the ranks at Rockwell Collins, an aviation tech supplier, from 1987 to 2013, when he became its CEO. Boeing announced Robert “Kelly” Ortberg, the former CEO of supplier Rockwell Collins, will be its new CEO, effective August 8, replacing retiring Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun, who has been under fire for the company’s problems. Serious problems to solveOrtberg will have his hands full fixing the problems at Boeing, which has not posted a profitable year since 2019. It recently agreed to plead guilty to charges that its employees defrauded the Federal Aviation Administration during the original certification process for the 737 Max. The company has come under renewed scrutiny since a 737 Max plane’s door plug blew off shortly after takeoff in January. But that will keep the losses building at Boeing as it can’t make money at its current level of production.

Airports and airlines say they can handle both. U.S. airlines expect to transport 271 million passengers worldwide this summer, up 6.3% from last season, the Airlines for America trade group has projected. Peter Steffen / picture alliance via Getty ImageThe U.S. Department of Transportation tracks “extreme weather” delays caused by conditions like tornadoes, blizzards or hurricanes but not those due to heat. During extreme heat, the airport urges employees to stay hydrated, take frequent breaks and, if they’re working outdoors, to cool off inside every hour. “Passengers are also encouraged to use the airport’s water stations to stay hydrated in the Arizona heat,” he added.

Nvidia 's slump is hitting some technical milestones that suggest the stock could continue to slide, according to Raymond James. Raymond James chart analyst Javed Mirza said in a July 25 note to clients that Nvidia has triggered a "mechanical sell" signal based on a moving average convergence/divergence indicator, or " MACD ," which measures price momentum — and it is not the only technical signal flashing sell. The key level to watch is Nvidia's 50-day moving average, currently around $118 per share, according to Mirza. "A multi-day close below important technical support at the 50-day moving average … would confirm a new short-term corrective phase was underway. If that view spreads to executives at Big Tech companies such as Alphabet, it could result in new orders for Nvidia slowing down.

CNN —The Curiosity rover has made its most unusual find to date on Mars: rocks made of pure sulfur. “I think it’s the strangest find of the whole mission and the most unexpected,” said Ashwin Vasavada, Curiosity project scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. Previously, while exploring Mars, NASA’s Spirit rover broke one of its wheels and had to drag it along while using the other five to drive backward. And Vasavada says it’s what inspired the team to “look behind” the Curiosity rover — otherwise they wouldn’t have seen the crushed sulfur. To determine what process formed the sulfur rocks, the team considered nearby bedrock instead.
