Sony on Tuesday announced the PlayStation 5 Pro, an upgraded version of its gaming console that will launch on Nov. 7 for $700. The arrival of Sony's refreshed PS5 console comes amid a global decline in console sales. The PS5 Pro features "advanced" ray tracing, a technique in computer graphics that simulates how light bounces off reflective surfaces. Sony said the PS5 Pro features a 2-terabyte solid-state drive, larger than the custom-built 825 GB solid-state drive featured in the PS5. Sony said several games will have "PS5 Pro Enhanced" designation with features that work on the new console.

In the feast-or-famine landscape of contemporary cinematic box office, Disney is gorging itself at the high table once again. There are the recent stumbles into culture-war controversy and a related impulse to blame the fans when self-consciously diverse content disappoints commercially. There’s the stagnant stock price, the big layoffs last year and the smaller ones this year. But really, the problems can be summed up in a single sentence: The old stuff still sells, but nobody likes the new stuff. But when it comes to new content and new storytelling, the Mouse is struggling to connect.

CNN —As Deadpool breaks records at the box office with “Deadpool & Wolverine,” cover art depicting the of superhero’s first ever comic book appearance could sell for a record $7.5 million. Designed by writer and artist Rob Liefeld in 1991, it would become the most valuable comic book cover art ever sold if it fetches its asking price, according to Heritage Auctions, which is handling the sale. Deadpool became one of Marvel's most popular comic book characters. A poster of Deadpool hangs at the David H. Koch Theater during the premiere of "Deadpool and Wolverine" in New York City on July 23. The owner acquired it almost 20 years ago, after Liefed had sold it, but refused any offers to sell.
