A sizeable number of Americans hope to retire as millionaires, according to Bankrate's latest savings survey. A little over a third of American workers say they'll need $1 million or more to retire in comfort, per Bankrate's survey. The median amount they think they'll need saved up is about $875,000. And millennials are the most likely of each generational cohort to think they'll need to save up at least $1 million to retire comfortably. With that in mind, CNBC calculated how much you would need to save each month in order to retire with $1 million at 65, starting at ages 25, 30, 35 and 40.

Last year, Son — who says he uses ChatGPT every day — is said to have met with Sam Altman, the A.I. That included talks for Son to provide up to $1 billion in funding to Altman and Jony Ive, the designer behind the iPhone, to create an A.I.-powered replacement for the smartphone. Bloomberg reported that SoftBank had hoped to be part of OpenAI’s last fund-raising round, but was instead wait-listed. Son is also trying to organize the auto industry around the use of A.I. The table and chart below illustrate some characteristics of the biopharma stocks. The average price/earnings multiple for the group, using 2025 estimates, is 12.7 times versus 20.6 times for the S & P 500. A major knock on the biopharma group is the limited productivity from their extremely expensive research efforts, other than obesity drugs, over the past twenty-five years. The technology using AI might not be ready yet, particularly related to the complex biology of the human body. Complex programs exist already, such as AlphaFold, which predicts the structure of three-dimensional compounds using data on protein sequences.

At a local store called Thirst, she tried a classic dirty soda combination: Dr Pepper with coconut cream and a raspberry syrup. Dirty soda is a non-alcoholic drink combined with creams, flavored syrups or fruit. What surprised Myrick the most about dirty soda shops was the sheer quantity of choices. PITTSBURGH — Kamala Harris vowed to govern as a pragmatist who wouldn’t be captive to ideology in an economic speech Wednesday while outlining $100 billion in new investments in manufacturing, a major issue in this battleground state. Pennsylvania voters react to Harris' speechEconomic concerns have been a liability for Democrats throughout the campaign cycle, as inflation rose in the post-pandemic global economy. And while domestic economic policies can have reverberating impacts, the supply chains that caused higher prices are, at least in part, beholden to global economic conditions. Voters who attended Harris' speech expressed confusion that other Americans see Trump as good for the economy. Denise Meyers, 74, a Harris supporter who attended the speech, cited Trump’s anti-union record to argue he’s bad for the middle class.

Mortgage rates are expected to drop, which means that it might be a good time to buy a second home. There's no perfect time to buy a home, so I'm more concerned with whether it feels like a good time. So, while mortgage rates are expected to go down this year for primary homes, mortgage rates for second homes might not fall as equally. Still, the Fed rate cut is already impacting mortgage rates, which could benefit second-home mortgages, as well. Barring a big windfall of cash allowing you to buy something outright, there may never be a "perfect" time to buy a home.

Read previewDown rounds and flat rounds for VC-backed startups have hit an all-time high this year since 2014. And AI startups, which have been the darlings of the tech ecosystem since late 2022, aren't exempt from the trend. The deal was seen by some investors as an omen for a wider phenomenon in the AI ecosystem — an impending wave of flat rounds and down rounds. "Investors went crazy for AI startups with zero revenue, at higher valuations, which will be an issue," said Umesh Padval, managing director at Thomvest Ventures. Down rounds are on the riseIn 2022, 90.2% of AI startups in the US raised up rounds, while 6.5% raised down rounds, according to PitchBook data.

New York CNN —Three Mile Island, the site of worst nuclear disaster in the United States, is reopening and will exclusively sell the power to Microsoft as the company searches for energy sources to fuel its AI ambitions. Microsoft will purchase the carbon-free energy produced from it to power its data centers to support artificial intelligence. Clean energy advocates and businesses alike are looking towards nuclear energy as a source of zero-carbon power that is a reliable baseload source. Three Mile Island, located near Harrisburg, is best known for being the most serious accident at a commercial nuclear power plant in US history when it experienced the partial meltdown of one of its two reactors. Demand for energy is expected to surge as tech giants need more sources of power to fuel their AI needs, especially nuclear power, which is carbon-free and helps them maintain their lofty climate goals.

The money is allocated from the $75 million the WNBA raised in 2022 from a group of investors.
