Over the last two years, my 12-year-old son has become increasingly consumed with going to the woods near our home. But just like many other tweens, he's also asked, "Can you get me a cellphone?" We bought him a pocket knife. He mostly keeps the knife in his pocket when he heads outdoors, only bringing it out when a project calls for a sharp object. As for the pocket knife, when it's not in use or at the bottom of his camo pants pocket, it stays safely displayed in his bedroom, a token of independence and ingenuity.

The parents who want unique names are faced with a greater challenge, in a way. Unique names require less of a word search and more of a scavenger hunt. While the result is almost always a spiritual sort of epiphany when we find "the one," — unique names do require a little extra consideration. Before I send my clients home with a unique list of names or final unique name choices, we work through three sets of considerations or checks to ensure their final choice meets all criteria. Steve Smith | Tetra Images | Getty ImagesHow the tax break worksWestend61 | Westend61 | Getty ImagesThe Inflation Reduction Act, which President Joe Biden signed into law in August 2022, extended and enhanced a prior tax credit available for home efficiency upgrades. The tax credit is worth 30% of the cost of qualifying projects. The combined tax break for these projects is capped at $1,200 a year. Altogether, taxpayers can get a maximum overall credit of $3,200 a year, if they combine projects worth up to $1,200 and $2,000. But Braun found out the marijuana had been stolen and ordered the man to shell out $100,000 to pay him back, prosecutors alleged. The most recent crash isn't the first deadly accident involving a gender reveal party. The gender reveal trend also caused a massive wildfire in California in 2020 after a celebratory fireworks display sparked a catastrophic blaze that raged for days across more than 10,000 acres. The incidents prompted the woman who popularized the trend to call for an end to the increasingly extreme gender reveal trend in 2020.
