CNBC's Jim Cramer on Friday walked investors through next week's market action, highlighting the Federal Reserve's next meeting and earnings from Super Micro Computer. Despite the slew of earnings next week, Cramer said the presidential election will steal Wall Street's attention. Tuesday marks election day, and the polls remain deadlocked between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. Cramer called Super Micro Computer's report "the most intriguing story" next week as shares declined recently when the tech company's auditor, Ernest & Young, resigned. The Fed will issue its decision on interest rates Thursday, and Cramer said the central bank needs to make a cut.

In a Thursday interview with CNBC's Jim Cramer, Clorox CEO Linda Rendle detailed how her company managed to recover after a cyberattack last year disrupted production and seriously hurt business. Rendle discussed the serious nature of the attack, saying the company was "operating in manual mode for nearly two months" and added that Clorox lost about a third of its distribution and market share. Its cat litter brand, Fresh Step, was hit particularly hard as cat owners who switched brands due to shortages were reluctant to switch back. But Rendle said the cat litter business has been on the rebound, regaining much of its lost market share, but admitted that "we have a lot more work to do in that category." She also expressed gratitude towards retailers who worked with Clorox during that time and added that these partnerships are stronger coming out of the attack.

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Thursday told investors not to get scared off when a company posts good earnings results but issues more modest guidance, as it doesn't always mean that management is worried about the future. "Some money managers are dumbfounded when a very good company reports a very good quarter but then issues a very conservative forecast," Cramer said. Sometimes, he said, it's worth it to hold on to a company with good earnings while others on Wall Street panic about guidance. For the current quarter, Microsoft predicted revenue between $68.1 billion and $69.1 billion, while analysts surveyed by LSEG were hoping for $69.83 billion. Despite the disappointing guidance, Cramer was appeased by management's explanation for the weaker guidance, particularly commentary from CFO Amy Hood.

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Wednesday discussed the tricky nature of bad quarters, saying management needs to explain and not gloss over any misses or poor results. Cramer said every earnings shortfall is "nuanced beyond belief," with some more difficult for Wall Street to parse than others. The company, which had been seeing success with its popular weight loss and diabetes drugs, failed to properly explain its shortfall, Cramer said. And while management from Wingstop highlighted the bright spots of the quarter, they largely did not acknowledge the earnings miss, he continued. CNBC's Jim Cramer on Tuesday lamented rising bond yields' effect on the market, saying this action could narrow the rally to tech and diminish broader sector gains. Some on Wall Street were expecting bond yields to decline after the Federal Reserve issued a hefty 50-basis-point cut and indicated there would be more to come over the next several months. Cramer said investors are drawn back to tech stocks as higher rates complicate the growth narratives for economically sensitive corners of the market. In recent months, investors were hoping that lower borrowing costs would help companies — such as those in the industrial sector and other housing-related areas — see an increase in business and, by extension, their stock prices. "If [the bond market] doesn't stop its retreat, then we're going to start questioning the idea that the Fed will keep cutting rates, ushering in a fabulous economy for 2025," Cramer said.

In a Tuesday interview with CNBC's Jim Cramer, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla struck a positive tone about activist investor Starboard Value, saying he agreed with some of its criticisms, but maintained that the company is headed in a good direction. But if Starboard, and anybody else for that matter, have good ideas, I will certainly discuss them and entertain." The pharmaceutical giant is under pressure from Starboard, which reportedly has a $1 billion stake in the company. But he praised Starboard's CEO Jeff Smith, saying he seemed "very smart" and "very pragmatic" at a recent meeting. Bourla also rebuked claims that his company was involved in dissuading past executives — former CEO Ian Read and former CFO Frank D'Amelio — from joining Starboard's efforts.

There is also a larger share of single women with children. As marriage rates fell, the number of women heading families rose. Across the board, women in the workforce faced steeper job losses and slower job recovery than men, according to research by the U.S. Census Bureau. Yet, even now, the labor force participation rate for women has not fully returned to pre-pandemic levels. "This is another area where we see returning to a pre-pandemic status quo as not good enough," said Julie Vogtman, the National Women's Law Center's director of job quality.

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Monday suggested that home improvement retailer Home Depot acts as a secular and cyclical stock, able to both grow independently of the business cycle and flourish when the economy is doing well. "The company's secular characteristics carry it through the cyclical pain, so even if the Fed doesn't move with alacrity to cut rates, Home Depot will still win." Lower interest rates tend to improve the housing market, which normally bodes well for housing-related stocks like Home Depot. "Now you could argue that this is an unusual moment, but historically, it's actually not that unusual for Home Depot," he said. "There's a boom and bust portion of the business, but for most of that period since 1981, it kept growing regardless."

Cramer says to not trade big winners ahead of earnings

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Monday discouraged investors from making any moves in high-value stocks ahead of earnings reports, especially in Big Tech — which will be viewed with intense scrutiny. "No one on Wall Street knows what any of the quarters will look like, except for the principals," he said. For example, he described why it's difficult to trade Alphabet based on earnings, saying that often some data in the Google parent's quarter fails to impress Wall Street. And according to Cramer, many on Wall Street will carefully examine each tech giant's spending on data centers and Nvidia products. "I am indeed trying to discourage you from trading these stocks ahead of the quarters.

The 2020 campaign may have also suffered from a lack of imagination about how big the turnout would be and what Democrats were doing in the courts to expand the vote, a Trump campaign adviser said. Other familiar names from 2020 election lawsuits have been spotted this year too. One is Karen DiSalvo, who after the 2020 election helped force an audit in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The RNC and Trump campaign have focused what they call their election integrity effort on 18 states including the key swing states. An RNC lawsuit in Michigan challenging voter registration procedures is one of the cases the firm has worked on.

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Thursday told investors that resources like fossil fuels will remain important and enable technological innovations, even as investments in renewable energy continue to grow. While the tech megacaps are investing heavily in nuclear energy, Cramer suggested that power won't play a huge role in the data center for at least a decade. He also reviewed GE Vernova 's recent quarter, saying the company's strength came from electrification and natural gas, not wind or nuclear power. But Cramer also stressed that the conversation around fossil fuels extends beyond the automotive industry. "The truth is, fossil fuels are essential for a lot more than vehicles, like it or not."

With a historic presidential election just around the corner, Chevron CEO Mike Wirth told CNBC's Jim Cramer what kind of government action is important for his company. "What really matters is consistent and coherent energy policy," he said. Wirth stressed that energy is a vital part of the global economy, saying that if supplies are constrained by political actions, it can trigger inflationary reactions across the board. According to Wirth, Chevron is apolitical and tries to work with both parties. For example, he said, oil helps create petrochemicals which are used for a variety of manufacturing purposes, including to create materials for EVs.

Fast-moving fashion micro-trends on social media can drive impulsive spending. A novel aesthetic or "-core" circulates on social media every few weeks, prompting consumers to buy in. 'The perfect profitability storm'Fast fashion, social media, and retailers like Shein have together created "the perfect profitability storm for the businesses and influencers using them," said Anthony Miyazaki, a marketing professor at Florida International University. Along with social media algorithms, micro-trends are being fueled by the cycle of doom spending: buying unnecessary stuff to feel better. "While it's easy to get caught up in what others are doing, it's important to remember that not everything is as it seems on social media," she said.

The U.S. Transportation Department announced a $50 million fine Wednesday against American Airlines over allegations it mistreated passengers with disabilities, which the department said in some cases caused injuries. “They repeatedly failed to provide prompt wheelchair assistance, and they damaged thousands of passengers’ wheelchairs, which left passengers without the device they need to live their life fully,” he said. American Airlines may not be alone in violations of laws that protect travelers with disabilities. Buttigieg said there are investigations into other airlines, although he said that “American Airlines appear to be one of the worst offenders.”“The problems that we have uncovered in our investigation are not confined to one airline,” Buttigieg said. American said last year that it transported more than 146,000 wheelchairs and other mobility devices.
