Dec 7 (Reuters) - Lawyers for former U.S. President Donald Trump searched Trump Tower and one of his golf courses after a judge instructed them to attest to complying with a subpoena to turn over all classified materials, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday. Nov 18 (Reuters) - FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, facing mounting legal challenges over the collapse of his cryptocurrency exchange, may have harmed his defense by speaking publicly in recent days, legal experts said. Bankman-Fried has sought to explain the implosion of FTX and disparaged government regulators in posts on Twitter and conversations with reporters. Attorneys said such statements will likely make life more difficult for the defense lawyers seeking to manage fallout from the exchange’s demise and navigate multiple federal investigations. His law firm represents many other financial industry clients. Joseph is a former president of the American College of Trial Lawyers who has written about racketeering law and rules of evidence.

Oct 13 (Reuters) - Britain's energy regulator Ofgem will on Thursday urge consumers to reduce their energy usage "where possible", the Financial Times reported, less than a week after climate minister Graham Stuart said that the country would not ask its people to use less energy. The energy regulator's move would come as it prepares to launch a campaign to help households reduce their electricity and gas usage, the FT said. Senior Cabinet Office Minister Nadhim Zahawi said on Sunday it was "extremely unlikely" Britain would have planned power cuts over winter, responding to a warning from National Grid (NG.L) that the country could face blackouts if it cannot import enough energy. REUTERS/Nate RaymondBOSTON, Sept 22 (Reuters) - U.S. prosecutors on Thursday said they reached an agreement to drop criminal charges filed during the Trump administration against a Massachusetts judge accused of impeding a federal immigration arrest of a defendant in her courtroom. Federal prosecutors said they had agreed to dismiss the obstruction charges filed against Newton District Court Judge Shelley Joseph in exchange for the judge referring herself to a state commission tasked with investigating judicial misconduct. Prosecutors are also dropping obstruction charges against her former courtroom deputy, Wesley MacGregor, who entered into a deferred prosecution agreement to resolve a remaining perjury count. Prosecutors claimed Joseph and MacGregor in 2018 helped a previously deported state court defendant evade being detained by an ICE agent by allowing him leave their Newton courthouse through a rear door. "I have concluded that the interests of justice are best served by review of this matter before the body that oversees the conduct of Massachusetts state court judges, rather than in a continued federal criminal prosecution," Cunha said.

Joseph le-a cerut cetățlenilor să-și păstreze calmul și a promis că îi va „aduce pe asasinii fostului președinte în fața legii”.
