I travel often but my recent trip to Vietnam was the first time I had issues entering a country. I was denied entry because my visa didn't have my middle name on it, but my passport did. It turns out they didn't match: My middle name was on my passport but not on my visa. Cash is still king in most places, and I'm lucky this mistake only cost me a few bills and few hours.

CNN —The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a request from Robert F. On Friday, the Supreme Court denied an emergency request from the Green Party to ensure presidential candidate Jill Stein could appear on the ballot in the battleground state of Nevada.

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Friday rejected Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein’s last-ditch request to be included on the ballot in Nevada, a key swing state. The court in a brief unsigned order left in place a decision by the Nevada Supreme Court that blocked Stein from appearing on the ballot over a dispute concerning whether the Green Party had submitted the correct paperwork. Jay Sekulow, an ally of former President Donald Trump, represented the Green Party. In Nevada, which is expected to be closely contested, the Democrats sued to ensure Stein was not on the ballot. Washington CNN —President Joe Biden wrapped a meeting with his Cabinet on Friday, his first high-profile convening of his advisers in a year as he tries to set his post-presidential legacy. Ahead of the meeting, a White House official said Biden would instruct Cabinet members to “sprint to the finish,” as he looks to burnish legacy items while ensuring as much of his agenda is implemented before a potential second Trump presidency. And, he will tell his Cabinet to bring to him directly any hurdles or obstacles they are facing to get things done,” the official said ahead of the meeting. Administration officials have serious doubts a deal can be struck before Biden leaves office, and tensions in the region are only escalating. “The president will direct his Cabinet to get to work and make the next four months as productive as any other period in our administration,” the official said.

The group said Harris had given it the cold shoulder and “fumbled” by refusing even the “small gesture” of allowing a Palestinian American speaker at last month’s Democratic National Convention. The Uncommitted Movement emerged as a result of Democratic voters’ expressing dissatisfaction with this year’s Democratic presidential primaries. More than 700,000 voters ended up selecting “uncommitted,” sending 30 uncommitted delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Instead, uncommitted delegates staged a sit-in outside the convention hall and set a new deadline of Sept. 15 for Harris to meet with Palestinian American families in Michigan who had lost loved ones in Gaza. That request was rebuffed, as well, according to the group, leading it to issue of the non-endorsement of Harris.
