Many of this year's VC rising stars told Business Insider that their go-to power outfits included apparel like tailored sport coats or Chelsea boots, and more casual pieces like hoodies and well-fitting jeans. Very few investors are wearing collared shirts with their jackets, opting instead to pair it with a t- shirt and jeans. Nmachi Jidemna told Business Insider that for her everyday wear, her go-to was "usually a structured blazer with a relaxed pair of jeans." THE BURLY MEN of Hollywood suit up for red carpets, but when going about their daily lives, many reach for a henley. You know, the collarless shirt that has a handful of buttons down its front and evokes old-fashioned underwear. In recent years Idris Elba, Brad Pitt and all the Chrises (Evans, Hemsworth, Pine and Pratt) have sported this garment, unbuttoned to achieve varying degrees of pectoral exposure. But plenty of mortals like it too. “The henley has a classic, masculine vibe,” said Patrick Burch, founder of Phoenix menswear store Cave & Post Trading Co., adding that fitted ones are a staple for “rugged, in-shape dudes.” According to Harry Hill, 29, a New York writer, podcaster and henley evangelist, a waffle-knit style ranks among the sexiest items a man can wear.

The population of the super wealthy, or those worth $100 million or more, doubled over the past 20 years as asset prices soared around the world, according to a new report. The rise of tech wealth, especially in the U.S., has also helped fueled the growth in the super-wealthy. The number of billionaires in the world has skyrocketed from under 500 in 2003 to more than 2,600 today, according to Forbes and other wealth-tracking firms. "The value of money has declined, so in dollar terms, you would expect more centi-millionaires," said Andrew Amoils, head of research at New World Wealth. The U.S. is still the dominant capital of entrepreneurship and centi-millionaires, with 38% of the global population of people worth $100 million or more, according to the report.

At least 88,200 people have $1 million or more in cryptocurrencies, a new wealth report said. That's out of 425 million total crypto users around the world, according to Henley & Partners. A fortunate few — 182 users — have cryptocurrencies worth more than $100 million, the report said. Crypto-millionaires are defined as people who have at least $1 million in cryptocurrency assets, per the firm's Crypto Wealth Report 2023. But the world's wealthy crypto users are starting to outnumber the number of high-net-worth individuals in entire countries, such as Russia, which has 65,000 millionaires, and Saudi Arabia, which has 52,000 millionaires, per Amoils' estimate.

"The whole thing started to end when we started taking separate limos," Meisner told Rolling Stone magazine. "I liked to be out of the spotlight," Meisner said, according to Rolling Stone. Before the Eagles, he placed bass for Poco, and was also bassist and vocalist with Rick Nelson's Stone Canyon Band.

Randy Meisner, a founding member of the Eagles whose broad vocal range on songs like “Take It to the Limit” helped catapult the rock band to international fame, died on Wednesday at a hospital in Los Angeles. The cause was complications of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, the band said on its website. “Randy was an integral part of the Eagles and instrumental in the early success of the band,” the group said. Mr. Meisner, the band’s original bass player, helped form the Eagles in 1971 along with Glenn Frey, Don Henley and Bernie Leadon. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1977 and won a Grammy Award for record of the year in 1978.

Guests are seen in the J Hotel located in the Shanghai Tower, in Shanghai on June 23, 2021. China, with the world's second-largest economy and the second-highest population, will again see the biggest exodus of millionaires this year, according to new research. Data from the firm showed that a net 10,800 high-net-worth individuals migrated out of China in 2022, and another net 13,500 are expected to leave this year. This is not an issue that started with the coronavirus pandemic, and has been going on for the last 10 years. China's economy grew strongly from 2000 to 2017, but wealth and millionaire growth in the country has been negligible since then (when measured in U.S.-dollar terms)."

It said a new migration strategy would be released later this year, which would include "radically reshaping" the BIIP programme. "I just don't think the investor programme is on their radar at the moment - they might overhaul it down the track. BIIP holders say they are curtailing business investment given the uncertainty, postponing life decisions and in some cases selling properties in Australia.
