To maintain its lead and fuel that expansion, Netflix is still hiring, if more slowly than in recent years. Like other US companies, Netflix discloses how much it plans to pay workers it hires on work visas. Netflix may pay employees more than the figures reflected in this data or compensate them in additional ways. While Netflix doesn't give bonuses, it does let employees choose each year how much compensation they want in cash versus stock options. Based on the Department of Labor data, Netflix offered annual base salaries ranging from roughly $72,000 to $1 million yearly, with a median of $184,080, for various roles.

CNN —Paul McCartney’s legendary lost guitar will gently weep no more as it was reunited with its owner more than 50 years after it was stolen. He continued to play it once The Beatles had split up but it was stolen in 1972 from the back of a van in Notting Hill, London. “The search for the bass wasn’t just for Paul McCartney, it was for all the fans,” Wass told CNN on Friday. “The evidence along the way would suggest that the thief didn’t know what he was stealing that night,” Scott Jones said. “In a sense it has no value except to Paul McCartney and to every Beatles fan in the world … it’s priceless.”

Al-Shifa, Israeli officials have argued, is an example of Hamas’s willingness to use hospitals as cover and turn civilians into human shields. The portion of the tunnel visible in the Israeli military video is at least 350 feet long. But beyond accusing the Israeli military of planting evidence at hospitals, Hamas and Gazan officials have not directly refuted the evidence presented by Israel. The Israeli military declined to provide additional imagery to support its assertion that this was a tunnel entryway or part of a tunnel complex. Concrete sections of the Al-Shifa tunnel are visible in this still image from the video released by the Israeli military.
Its advantage wasn’t lost on Netflix cofounder and former CEO Reed Hastings, who’s namechecked YouTube as a threat to Netflix. YouTube has become a media giant without Hollywood contentMany in media dismiss or overlook YouTube because it doesn’t look like a Hollywood player. Its TV business, YouTube TV, is a bundle of other people’s channels. And YouTube TV is now the fourth-largest pay-TV service in the country, with more than 8 million subscribers. The real threat is that Netflix and YouTube dominate and everyone else fights over a tiny slice of pie.

Netflix, which is in a quiet period ahead of earnings, declined CNN’s request for comment. In November, Netflix aired its first-ever live sports event, and its third-ever foray into live programming, called “The Netflix Cup,” a crossover competition between Formula 1 drivers and professional golfers. “We are investing heavily in increasing our live capabilities,” Netflix’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos said on the company’s earnings call in October. Next, Netflix plans to experiment with a new type of live programming: award shows. But even before the announcement, the number of shows and original programming Netflix churned out had already hit its peak, according to data analyzed by MoffettNathanson.

If you do work in movies, you almost certainly have heard of him: He's the guy in charge of Netflix's movie division, and for years, Netflix's movie division made a lot of movies, at a time when lots of studios were shrinking. Now that's changing, and now Stuber isn't going to be at Netflix anymore: Netflix says he's leaving to start his own media company. And a few months after that, when Stuber's name was floated as a possible contender to run Amazon's movie business, he didn't seem long for the place. Now, Stuber said, Netflix was going to cut its output in half so it could make things better things. Managing limitations At its core, that means investors should avoid swapping in and out of the same spot bitcoin ETF within the 61-day limit if they had sold the position. This also raises the question of whether dumping one spot bitcoin ETF for another would be deemed substantially identical.

Wall Street celebrated the streaming device company's third-quarter report Wednesday, in which Roku reported strong trends in content distribution and advertising as well as uptake of its Roku-branded TVs. Strong usership for Roku means more points of access for subscribers to Paramount+, Max, Netflix, Peacock and other streaming services. Netflix reported a surprise jump in subscribers in its third-quarter earnings report last month, driven largely by its ad-supported subscription tier. The company said Wednesday that its ad-supported tier has amassed 15 million subscribers, tripling its previously announced total of five million in May.

CNN —Israeli ground forces are inside Gaza having entered the enclave overnight, as Palestinians experienced what they have described as the most intense round of airstrikes since Israel began its retaliation against Hamas’ October 7 terror attack. Israeli forces “went into the Gaza Strip and expanded the ground operation where infantry, armour and engineer units and artillery with heavy fire are taking part,” Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Daniel Hagari said Saturday morning during a press briefing in Tel Aviv. “The forces are in the field and continue the fighting,” he added, without giving further details. Both those raids saw ground forces withdraw after a few hours. Israeli air strikes destroyed hundreds of buildings in the Gaza Strip overnight, the civil defence service in the Hamas-controlled Palestinian territory said on Saturday.

She did not say why the trucks had not been able to cross into Gaza from Egypt on Tuesday. The United States is negotiating with Israel, Egypt and the United Nations to try and create a delivery mechanism to get aid into Gaza. They are wrangling over procedures for inspecting the aid and bombardments on the Gaza side of the border. Since limited aid deliveries began on Saturday, 54 trucks have crossed into Gaza carrying food, medicine and water, which U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres described as "a drop of aid in an ocean of need." The BoE and Financial Conduct Authority proposed scrapping the cap in a public consultation earlier this year, and its abolition was confirmed in final policy published on Tuesday. The TUC confederation of labour unions said the decision to scrap the bonus cap was "obscene".
