CNN —Sean “Diddy” Combs has spent his three weeks in jail speaking with his defense attorneys, preparing for his case and receiving visiting from his family, a source close to the music producer told CNN. In a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, Combs’ attorneys said on Wednesday that they intend to request a trial date in April or May 2025. Following the release of the video, Combs apologized. The motion filed by Combs’ attorneys also alleges that authorities alerted the media about the searches in March of his homes in Los Angeles and Miami. Combs’ attorneys said they want the judge to order the government to immediately produce the materials seized over six months ago.

Sean "Diddy" Combs wants to go to trial on sex trafficking charges next spring, the embattled hip-hop mogul's lawyers informed a judge Wednesday. "Mr. Combs continues to assert his right to a speedy trial and intends to request a trial date in April or May 2025, and as consistent with the Court’s trial schedule," the jailed rapper's lawyers wrote. Combs was charged last month with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution in a sweeping indictment by the Southern District of New York. CNN —Lawyers for Sean “Diddy” Combs are appealing a federal judge’s decision to deny the music mogul bail and place him in custody, according to a two-page notice of appeal filed Monday. Combs is currently incarcerated and awaiting his criminal trial, after being arrested earlier this month and charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs’ lawyers had previously asked the judge to release the rapper on a $50 million bond, home detention and limits on visitors. Judge Andrew Carter rejected the proposal, siding with federal prosecutors who argued that Combs is a danger to the community and a flight risk. His attorneys then asked Carter, who will oversee the trial, to release the hip-hop artist.

Indianapolis quarterback Anthony Richardson was ruled out for the rest of Sunday’s game against Pittsburgh after appearing to injure his hip in the first quarter. After being hit near the right hip on a 14-yard scramble downfield with 5:42 to play in the first quarter, Richardson, the second-year starter, immediately was seen reaching for the area. But on his first play back, Richardson struggled to run to his left on first-and-goal just 6 yards from the end zone and immediately left the game again, with Joe Flacco entering as the Colts’ replacement. The team initially ruled Richardson as questionable to return, but he was soon downgraded to out for the rest of the game. Shortly after he returned, he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in October 2023 that required surgery.
