A Black man who was fatally shot four years ago by a now-fired white police officer in Columbus, Ohio, complied with commands and was wrongly killed as he walked out of a garage, prosecutors said Thursday. “Officer Coy was not justified in shooting Andre Hill,” prosecutor Renee Amlin told the jury. The search for a woman who fell from a Taylor Swift-themed cruise ship in the Bahamas was suspended Wednesday, a day after she went into the water, officials said. The U.S. Coast Guard said Wednesday afternoon that the Royal Bahamas Defence Force was suspending its search pending new developments and that it no longer needed the Coast Guard's assistance.
