Printre cei trei judecători care au decis să anuleze hotărârea CSM se numără și Vladislav Clima, care a fost coleg cu Melniciuc la Facultatea de Drept de la USM. Dosarul penal în care Melniciuc este bănuit de îmbogățire ilicită a fost dechis în vara anului 2017 la solicitarea procurorului general și a fost trimis pe masa magistraților de la Judecătoria Chișinău, acolo unde activa și Melniciuc, deși era în concediu pentru îngrijirea copilului. Oleg Melniciuc a fost președintele Judecătoriei Râșcani din iunie 2013, atunci când a fost numit, după mai multe controverse, prin decret prezidenţial, de preşedintele Nicolae Timofti. Melniciuc este finul de cununie al lui Mihai Poalelungi, fostul preşedinte al Curţii Supreme de Justiţie și fost președinte al Curții Constituționale.

The racial wealth gap in America is well-documented, but there are steps we can take now to help close the gap — including encouraging Black Americans to invest more. In the US, Black Americans tend to invest at lower rates than white Americans, reducing Black Americans' opportunity to build wealth. There has been some progress related to investing in recent years, and the racial investing gap seems to be shrinking. That means the existing racial wealth gap can then feed into the investing gap.
