Elon Musk’s posts on his social media platform X get far more attention when they cast doubt on the integrity of the electoral process, an NBC News analysis has found. The difference in reach was vast: 5.2 times more likes, 4.2 times more comments and 9.1 times more reposts, when comparing the median election-doubting post to the median election post that didn’t cast doubt on the process. In addition to owning X, Musk is its biggest account, with more than 202 million followers, according to the app’s tally of his following. X has developed a clear tilt in favor of far-right users and posts since Musk bought it two years ago, according to researchers. Musk told an editor at The Atlantic in July that he would “of course” accept the results of the presidential election, according to the magazine.

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to decide a thorny legal dispute from Louisiana involving the state's effort to draw a congressional district map while navigating claims it is unlawfully considering race. One lawsuit claimed that the state had to draw a map containing two majority Black districts to comply with the federal Voting Rights Act. A federal court struck the new map down, but with time running out to finalize the congressional districts before this year’s elections, state officials successfully asked the Supreme Court to put the lower court decision on hold in May. The Supreme Court has a 6-3 conservative majority that, in a surprising move, buttressed the federal Voting Rights Act in 2023 in another racial gerrymandering case involving the congressional map in Alabama. With so much at stake, CNN has identified 10 races to watch on Tuesday – grouped into buckets that nod to broader themes across the House landscape. Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger decided against seeking a fourth term, instead launching a campaign for governor in 2025. Democratic Rep. Jared Golden has crafted a moderate profile by challenging his party on issues ranging from spending to immigration. This year she faces a challenge from GOP state Rep. Gabe Evans, a fellow Mexican American and a former Army helicopter pilot and police officer. GOP Rep. Zach Nunn, an Air Force officer, was first elected in 2022 – defeating Democratic Rep. Cindy Axne by about 2,000 votes.

After Harris became the nominee, support from Asian American women jumped to 72%. Support from Asian American men also increased, but not as drastically, sitting now at 59%. All three titles are expected to thrive at the box office, both during their openings and as they run through the rest of the year. The physical screens are often bigger than traditional movie screens or have auditoriums that feature higher-quality sound systems or seating options. These screens account for 9.1% of the domestic box office, around $600 million in 2024. PLF receipts still represent a small portion of the overall box office, with most audiences seeing films on traditional digital screens. However, it's no small feat that PLF box office has grown 33% in just five years.
