"A lot of people on Wall Street have been living in this pipe dream of Trump not getting the nomination. "It's painful for me to admit this, but Wall Street is basically nonchalant to this election," longtime Wall Street executive and former Trump communications director Anthony Scaramucci said in a recent interview with The Hill. An outside effort "will not work against Trump," one of DeSantis' Wall Street fundraisers said. "The next question is, 'will Wall Street work to stop him in the general by supporting Biden?'" In 2020, Wall Street executives combined to donate over $74 million to helping Biden defeat Trump.

On Sunday, crews in Memphis, Tennessee continued to work around the clock to find and fix broken pipes that were causing low water pressure throughout the system. Elsewhere, freezing rain, sleet and high wind gusts later Sunday would make traveling in parts of Kansas and Oklahoma particularly treacherous, the National Weather Service said. “With no additional replenishment of arctic air from Canada, a steady warm-up is in store for the mid-section of the country,” the weather service said. Trees and power lines already coated with ice could topple if they get more, the National Weather Service warned. “Stay safe out there over the next several days as our region tries to thaw out,” the weather service said.

So on caucus night, I stayed in my hotel room watching TV and munching on Cheez-Its, flipping between wins and losses in Hollywood and Iowa. The House was scheduled to vote Thursday on a GOP plan for cutting income, sales and property taxes by a total of $1.6 billion over three years. Top Republicans want to impose a single personal income tax rate of 5.25%, replacing three rates that top out at 5.7%, starting in 2025. The dispute over the single-rate or “flat” plan blocked a large tax cut in Kansas last year, when a dozen other states cut taxes, according to the conservative-leaning Tax Foundation. Her income tax proposal would increase the standard deductions that all individual filers claim. Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson, a Wichita-area Republican, said retaining an income tax with multiple rates would keep Kansas “behind the eight ball” economically.

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa—Donald Trump was expected to win the Iowa caucuses Monday night by the largest margin in the history of the first Republican presidential nominating contest, cementing an early victory in his defiant bid to return to the White House. The anticipated dominance of the former president in Iowa, based on recent polls, heightened the importance of second place. Nikki Haley appeared to have a chance to beat Ron DeSantis in a close race for that spot, a prize that would fuel her quest to become the only Trump alternative and a long-shot challenger to the front-runner.

Mr. Biden has signaled his plans to highlight Mr. Trump’s efforts to subvert his loss in the 2020 election, invoking the attack on the Capitol and Mr. Trump’s revisionist history of what happened.
