If you travel and you haven't looked at your credit card's transfer partners, you might be missing out. There is no right or wrong way to use points and miles you've earned when you use a credit card, and the options are plentiful. Rewards credit cards allow you to earn points or miles on every purchase rather than giving you cash back immediately. Strategically using credit cards this way is a great way to capitalize on your spending, especially if you love to travel like our family does. My favorite credit cards are the most flexible onesWhile debating what type of credit card to open and use to earn points can be daunting, our family loves using credit cards that give you the most flexibility in redeeming those points.

Eleven people were hospitalized after eating wild and apparently toxic mushrooms on Friday night, a fire agency that serves Pennsylvania Dutch Country said. The station reported that family members foraged wild mushrooms and ate them that night. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says eating mushrooms foraged outdoors should almost never be done except by trained experts known as mycologists. Most of the known mushroom poisonings and deaths in the United States involve foraging of amanita phalloides mushrooms, known as "death caps," in the wild, the CDC said in a report on the toxic fungi. Eating them can cause death as well as abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration and liver damage, the CDC said.

In recent years, international airlines such as Air France, KLM, Emirates, Finnair, and Qatar Airways have launched discounted "Business Light" tickets. Airbus reported lower monthly deliveries late on Wednesday, putting its annual production target under pressure as supply chain struggles continue to plague the industry. The company said at the time it was facing "persistent specific supply chain issues mainly in engines, aerostructures and cabin equipment." For September it picked up another 235 orders, taking the annual total to 648. But production challenges and supply chain shortages across the whole aviation industry mean that manufacturers cannot get planes out as fast as they want. Airbus has a new model called the A321XLR, set to be the world's longest-range single-aisle aircraft, due to launch customer Iberia in the coming months after numerous delays.

Delta reports a profit despite service meltdown

That was partly offset from a $50 million fuel savings due to the grounded flights. Delta said it earned adjusted income of $971 million in the quarter, down 26% from a year earlier, on adjusted revenue of $14.6 billion in the quarter, essentially unchanged from a year ago, despite the hit to revenue from the service meltdown. But that was offset by a 3% increase in miles flown by passengers, as passengers soon returned to travel on Delta despite the service problems. And it reported a 9% drop in average fuel prices paid, the second largest cost at the airline behind labor costs. “I think you’re going to see it across consumer discretionary purchases as a whole,” “People want to find out what happens.

Delta Air Lines expects to grow earnings in the fourth quarter, thanks to resilient travel demand and strong bookings for year-end holidays. The Atlanta-based carrier on Thursday forecast fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of $1.60 to $1.85 per share, compared with Wall Street estimates of $1.71, according to LSEG, and above the adjusted $1.28 per share it reported a year earlier. Revenue will likely rise between 2% and 4% from a a year earlier, though the carrier warned it expects a 1-point revenue hit from lower demand before and after the Nov. 5 U.S. presidential election. The incident was a $380 million hit to revenue, Delta said. Delta said it still expects its full-year adjusted earnings to come in between $6 to $7 a share, excluding the CrowdStrike impact.
