CNN —Federal prosecutors charged two prominent real estate brokers and their brother in a sex trafficking scheme, alleging they baited, drugged and sexually assaulted multiple women since 2010. During those trips and events, they allege, the men “frequently raped and sexually assaulted the women” sometimes within hours of meeting them. Isabelle Kirschner, an attorney who has represented Alon and Oren Alexander, who are twins, in civil sex trafficking lawsuits, confirmed their arrest and declined further comment. All three brothers have been charged with conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and sex trafficking of one victim in 2016. A Texas bankruptcy judge ruled that The Onion's bid for Alex Jones's Infowars cannot go forward. Prosecutors from the Manhattan district attorney's office are urging a New York judge not to throw out President-elect Donald Trump's criminal conviction in the hush money case, offering a variety of suggestions on how the case could proceed without interfering with his presidential duties. They also knocked Trump's claim that the case should be "immediately" dismissed because he's already protected by presidential immunity. A federal judge in North Dakota blocked a Biden administration rule that allowed DACA recipients to sign up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act. People who received benefits from DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, began signing up for coverage under the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, at the start of open enrollment on Nov. 1. Coverage for those who signed up was expected to start as early as Jan. 1. Still, the elimination of expanded coverage, Pillai said, could leave thousands of uninsured DACA recipients in those states without an affordable option. “Given that President-elect Trump tried to end DACA during his first term and his views on immigration more broadly, the Trump administration seems unlikely to appeal any ruling against DACA or the coverage expansion,” Pillai said.
