The concept of van life has intriqued me for years. I've interviewed dozens of nomads who encouraged others to try van life with shorter trips. AdvertisementThose desires could be answered with van life — especially since the version of van life I saw scrolling on Instagram and TikTok seemed to fit my outdoorsy lifestyle. Related storiesI knew two weeks wasn't enough to experience every aspect of van life. Plus, the company's vans were what I dreamed of when I pictured van life.

Take unemployment insurance. The CARES Act, passed in March 2020, included the largest increase in benefits and eligibility in American history. In 2019, unemployment insurance kept 500,000 people out of poverty; in 2020, that figure was 5.5 million. Yes, the program was riddled with problems, particularly technological ones, that made it difficult for many people to get enrolled quickly. But once they were covered, “They saw something close to the actual level of benefits that they deserve,” Mr. Díez said.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to contracts with former New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and former New York Jets defensive end Bryce Huff, two people familiar with the deals told The Associated Press on Monday. The Giants used the tag last season and eventually worked out a one-year, $10.1 million contract before the start of training camp. A franchise tag this year would have cost the team $12.2 million if Barkley accepted the offer. The 25-year old Huff spent the last four seasons with the New York Jets. Huff thanked the Jets and their fans in a social media post but did not acknowledge his deal with the Eagles.

And since the Apple-made movies are expressly built to be shown on its Apple TV+ streaming service, Apple can't make money selling them to a different streamer. Apple, movies, and TV: Why? And the second obvious answer is that Apple needs Apple TV+ because it's increasingly focused on making money from "services" as iPhone sales slow down. Apple has managed to grow Apple TV+ meaningfully after a rocky start. Still, even in the best-case scenario, Apple TV+ is a sliver of the $85 billion Apple made from services last year.

But the truth is, Hollywood loves influencers — and they're probably here to stay. AdvertisementAt the People's Choice Awards on Sunday, Billie Eilish inadvertently brought discourse about influencers at awards shows and on red carpets to a boiling point. Outrage — or minimally, discomfort — with influencers and TikTokers on red carpets and awards shows isn't new. But now, influencers have become even more entrenched in the celebrity world, cropping up frequently as guests, presenters, and content creators at awards shows and premiere events. If it didn't, awards shows wouldn't be inviting them.

BookTok can't get enough of Sarah J. Maas' fantasy series, especially "A Court of Thorns and Roses." Here's the reading order I'd recommend as an avid fan of Maas' books. However, I don't think reading the "Throne of Glass" books in the order they were published offers the best narrative experience. After her two longer series, Maas readers will be ready for the 'Crescent City' booksHalf-fae Bryce Quinlan is at a crossroads when the "Crescent City" series begins, grieving the murder of her best friends by a demon. On another quiet weekend in cinemas, the rest of ticket sales went mainly to holdovers and awards contenders. CNN —After a trio of “Kingsman” movies, director Matthew Vaughn essentially hits the reset button with “Argylle,” another fun, highly stylized and less violent spy movie. Cast to the hilt, the film proves inventively twisty if a little convoluted, with the modest disclaimer that it’s not as good as the trailer makes it look. Bryce Dallas Howard and Sam Rockwell as an author and spy, respectively, in "Argylle." As Elly’s guide on this overwhelming journey, Rockwell steals the show, presenting a more human-scale spy who still does amazing things with smart-alecky wit and bravado. As noted, Vaughn’s work stands out for its energetic and playful approach to action, which is very much in evidence here.
