For the first time, egg freezing was an option for younger women worried about their reproductive future. But that also comes with a cost — and Carney doesn't plan to do another round. Other studies have found that there isn't much added benefit to freezing eggs earlier than 30. Fertility clinics have an obvious business case for trying to convince as many people as possible that egg freezing is something they should do.
