FOR ANYONE RAISED in or around Atlanta, Martin Luther King Jr. is first and foremost associated with the city where he was born and raised. We Atlantans take pride in the fact that Dr. King grew up on Auburn Avenue, the downtown thoroughfare cutting through the neighborhood of Sweet Auburn. On my travels throughout the South, I’ve seen traces of King everywhere—on street signs and in civil rights museums—but it’s been many years since I’ve followed his footsteps in my own city. So on a recent winter day, I went looking for the roots of King’s legacy in an integral part of Black Atlanta.

NEW YORK (AP) — Tim Dorsey, a former police and courts newspaper reporter who found lasting fame as the creator of the crime-comedy novel series starring Serge A. AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Automaker Stellantis on Wednesday announced a recall of more than 32,000 of its hybrid Jeep Wrangler SUVs because they pose a potential fire risk. As part of what the company described as a routine review of customer information, Stellantis determined that eight of the hybrid Wranglers had caught fire while they were turned off and parked. The recall covers 2021-2024 models of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe SUVs. All other Wrangler models have been deemed safe by Stellantis, which maintains its U.S. headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Stellantis plans to contact the owners of the SUVs that need to be fixed.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio woman who authorities say killed four men with lethal doses of fentanyl in order to rob them pleaded not guilty to murder charges on Monday. Auborn 33, of Columbus, is accused of killing the men and nearly killing a fifth man after meeting them for sex in Columbus between December 2022 and June 2023. Authorities did not identify the men. Auburn had already pleaded not guilty last month to murder and drug-related charges in connection with one of the men's deaths.
