Apple is raising the price of a subscription to its streaming platform Apple TV+. Apple is raising the price of a monthly subscription to its streaming platform Apple TV+, the home of "Ted Lasso" and "The Morning Show. It's not the only streaming platform that's upping its subscription price. Hulu's ad-free tier went from $14.99 per month to $17.99, and a monthly subscription to Disney+'s ad-free tier increased from $10.99 to $13.99. Before HBO Max and Discovery+ merged to become Max in May, HBO Max raised its ad-free subscription price one dollar to $15.99.

“Five Nights at Freddy’s” wants to do for animatronic arcade characters what “It” did for clowns. Fleshing that out, the movie begins by quickly indicating why Freddy’s might need a new employee, and why Mike desperately needs a new job. "Five Nights at Freddy's" turns the game into a horror movie. Even so, the net result is another slice of horror that at best feels a little half-baked. “Five Nights at Freddy’s” premieres October 27 in US theaters and on Peacock.

The iPhone maker is increasing the monthly cost of Apple TV+ by $3. It is also raising prices for Apple Arcade, its videogame service, and Apple News+.

Apple on Wednesday raised the prices for a number of its flagship services offerings, including Apple TV+, Arcade and its bundled offering, Apple One. Apple TV+ will now cost $9.99 a month, up from $6.99. The price increase comes after Apple upped the price in 2022 from $4.99. Apple One, the bundle package used by many families to access Apple's services at a lower price will also increase, with the top-end Premier package now costing $37.95 a month. "The subscription prices for Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and Apple One will increase in the US and select international markets beginning today," an Apple spokesperson told CNBC.

Former Electronic Arts mobile gaming executive Mike Verdu joined Netflix as vice president of game development in 2021. Getting existing subscribers to download and play mobile games is a challenge, though, Benes noted. As of September 2023, Netflix's games have been downloaded 70.5 million times, globally, according to data obtained from Apptopia. The beta rollout to limited users Canada and the U.K. included Oxenfree from Night School Studio, a Netflix game studio, and Molehew's Mining Adventure, a gem-mining arcade game. But Netflix is not looking to be a console replacement, Netflix gaming executive Verdu previously told Tech Crunch.
