A SkyWest flight from Houston to LA was delayed after two flight attendants deplaned, per The Hill. A passenger on the flight said the crew members had an argument, causing one to burst into tears. The male flight attendant started to yell and the female flight attendant burst into tears and ran to the front of the plane, Brewer said, per The Hill. SkyWest did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment, but in a statement provided to Nexstar Media Group, which publishes The Hill, it said that it was aware of reports regarding a "flight attendant issue."
U.S. FAA, NTSB probe new airline runway incident

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating a string of recent runway incursions that have attracted national attention. The FAA said the American Airlines flight crew discontinued the landing after the controller advised that the Air Canada aircraft was departing. The aircraft were about 3,100 feet (945 meters) apart when the American Airlines jet began its climb-out, the FAA said. The FAA will hold a March 15 safety summit and is forming a team of experts to review airline safety after several recent near-miss incidents. The FedEx plane had been set to land on a runway on which a Southwest Airlines jet was also cleared to depart.
A student traveling on an American Airlines flight was accused of urinating on another passenger. He is banned from traveling on American Airlines, the airline later said. American Airlines did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment. Delhi Police said legal action is being taken on the basis of a complaint from American Airlines, per PTI. Wells Fargo fired an employee who was also accused of urinating on a fellow Air India passenger mid-flight, Insider reported.
“The Learjet pilot read back the instructions clearly but began a takeoff roll instead,” the FAA said in a statement. The NTSB says neither airplane was damaged and nobody on board was hurt. The FedEx plane, meanwhile, climbed as its crew aborted their landing to help avoid a collision, the FAA said. Air traffic controllers had “noticed another aircraft crossing the runway in front of the departing jetliner,” the FAA said in a statement. Audio recordings detail swift action by an air traffic controller kept the airplanes from colliding as they drew closer.
A flight from El Paso to Chicago was delayed for hours last Friday after passengers received a cryptic message. The plane returned to its gate just before takeoff so officials could investigate the aircraft for a bomb, officials say. The threat came in the form of an AirDrop message only visible to those with an Apple device. Last Friday, on American Airlines flight 2051, which had 125 passengers on board, those with Apple devices received an AirDrop notification, local news reported. In January, a flight from Israel to Turkey was delayed for two hours after passengers received images of plane crashes via AirDrop, Insider's Stephanie Stacey reported.
An "unruly" passenger aboard an American Airlines flight forced an emergency landing this week. The traveler allegedly rushed at the cockpit after she couldn't get a cocktail, according to reports. "I started freaking out because so many people started getting up on me," Miles told the news outlet. However, law enforcement ultimately dismissed the charge against Miles following an investigation, the airport told Insider on Friday. The FBI told Insider "no further action is planned unless additional information or evidence comes to light."
The American Airlines crew involved in a near-collision have "refused" to be interviewed by authorities. The report said that "the flight crew refused to be interviewed on the basis that their statements would be audio recorded for transcription." American Airlines did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment about the interviews. In a statement given to the Wall Street Journal, American Airlines said it is cooperating with the NTSB investigation. The 153 passengers and six crew members on the Delta plane and 137 passengers and 12 crew members on the American plane were all uninjured, the NTSB's preliminary report said.
The National Transportation Safety Board subpoenaed pilots who flew the American Airlines Group Inc. plane that almost collided with another jet on a New York runway last month, the agency said. The transportation safety agency said it issued the subpoenas Friday to the three crew members for American Airlines Flight 106 after they declined to conduct recorded interviews about the incident.
The NTSB said the London-bound American Airlines flight crossed the runway without clearance from air traffic control, forcing the Delta aircraft to abort its takeoff. The Delta flight, bound for Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, aborted takeoff and came to stop about 500 feet short of the taxiway. The NTSB said it has attempted to interview the American Airlines flight crew three different times, but the crew refused to be interviewed on the basis that their statements would be recorded for transcription. The Allied Pilots Association, which represents 15,000 American Airlines pilots, said in a statement it raised concerns over the NTSB's "recent insistence" on electronically recording crew interviews. There were 12 crew and 137 passengers on the American Airlines flight and six crew and 153 passengers on the Delta flight.
CNN —The National Transportation Safety Board, which is investigating a near miss incident on the JFK runway last month, has issued a subpoena for the testimony of the American Airlines pilots involved. “American Airlines cleared the flight crew’s schedule to ensure their availability; however, the flight crew refused to be interviewed on the basis that their statements would be audio recorded for transcription,” the NTSB preliminary report says. “As a result of the flight crew’s repeated unwillingness to proceed with a recorded interview, subpoenas for their testimony have been issued.”The NTSB report says the American Airlines 777 crossed an active runway without clearance from air traffic control, causing a Delta 737 to abort its takeoff. Investigators have accepted written statements from the Delta crew and determined that they contain “sufficient information.”As CNN has previously reported, the American Airlines flight continued on to London’s Heathrow airport. The NTSB says the American crew, through their union, the Allied Pilots Association, would not consent to the interview.
