We'll review a trade that wins if the market pulls back again. Inflation has been stubbornly high for months, and today's hotter-than-expected producer price index report only reinforces that notion. First, the conventions of the criminal trial – like those in thousands of courtrooms every day – mean this case will grind on relentlessly. In previous civil trials, Trump challenged the dignity of the rule of the court and feuded with other judges. But potential jurors appeared to take their obligation deeply seriously. But other potential jurors said they’d be able to put any political feelings about Trump to one side and focus on the evidence and the law. And in another revealing trend that hinted at the ex-president’s political appeal, some potential jurors mentioned that they viewed his rhetorical eruptions as those of someone who speaks his mind, unlike conventional politicians.

Wells Fargo Why we own it : We bought Wells Fargo as a turnaround story under CEO Charlie Scharf. In addition, the bank's net interest margin came up short, and therefore net interest income. However, bank interest income estimates depend on interest rates, a factor Wells can't control. Net interest income fell 17% year over year as deposits declined due to customers reallocating cash into higher-yielding securities. Non-interest income increased 9% thanks to higher asset-based fees driven by an increase in market valuations.

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia - Dec. 7, 2023: A branch of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia in Addis Ababa. Ethiopia's largest bank is struggling to recoup millions of dollars after a glitch over the weekend allowed customers to withdraw unlimited funds, according to local media reports. More than $40 million was reportedly withdrawn from the state-owned Commercial Bank of Ethiopia or transferred to other banks, as customers discovered they could withdraw more than their total balance. Several universities have urged students to return cash that isn't theirs, and Sano reportedly told Monday's press conference that anybody who returns the money will not be criminally prosecuted. Ethiopia's central bank, which oversees its financial sector, said in a statement that the interruption was a result of system security checks and "not an incident that endangers the bank, its customers and the entire financial system," according to a Google translation.

Opening a joint bank account is different from opening up an individual bank account. Both owners have full access to a bank account, and joint bank account rules also dictate specific actions if one owner dies. When you're opening up a new bank account, you'll receive a bank account agreement that lists the bank's conditions and rules. Additional rules to keep in mind with joint bank accountsWhen you open a joint bank account, Bera Daigle also suggests being mindful of another bank account rule — equal withdrawal rights. A joint bank account beneficiary can't set up direct deposits, make withdrawals, or view your bank account when you're alive.

Here are four things I tell my business owner clients to consider when choosing a business bank account. Ease of paying contractorsSome business bank accounts, especially online accounts, offer free invoicing and bookkeeping software/features. If you use accounting software (such as QuickBooks) to manage your business finances, accessing a business bank account that offers integration features may be desirable.
