The Many Links Between Project 2025 and Trump’s WorldFormer president Donald J. Trump has repeatedly claimed that he had nothing to do with Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation’s conservative policy initiative to reshape the federal government. But Project 2025 has numerous ties to Mr. Trump and his campaign, a New York Times analysis has found. L. ZorcJump to the full list of authors, editors and contributorsSpokespeople for Project 2025 have denied that they are advocates for any particular candidate, and Project 2025 has no official ties to the Trump campaign. To limit the appearance of connection, Mr. Trump’s transition team has been excluding prominent people linked to Project 2025 from its preparations. Project 2025 additionally calls for the dismantling of the federal Education Department, which Mr. Trump has also pledged to do.

CNN —Republican women can vote for Kamala Harris — and they don’t need to tell anyone about it. Such voters need to be approached gently since she’s asking dissident Republican voters to shelve some of their most cherished political positions. Cheney’s appearances with Harris came as the vice president seeks to further widen a massive gender gap with the ex-president among women voters. A New York Times/Siena College poll this month showed Harris leading women voters by 56% to 40% over Trump. Trump’s struggles with women votersHarris’ events with Cheney raised the question of just how many Republican voters might be in reach for her.

A highly anticipated legislative hearing began Monday but without its key witness: a Texas inmate whose execution for his daughter's "shaken baby" death was narrowly averted last week. The high court, however, said Sunday it would not rule on the manner in which Roberson must testify. Roberson, 57, has maintained his innocence in the 2002 death of his 2-year-old daughter, Nikki, based on "shaken baby syndrome." But hours later, Roberson said, he woke up and realized Nikki was not breathing and her lips looked blue. Wharton, the lead detective in the case, has also voiced his support for Roberson, telling House committee members at a hearing last week: "This is an innocent man, beyond question."

A portion of the gangway which collapsed Saturday afternoon remains visible on Sapelo Island in McIntosh county, Ga., on Sunday. Sapelo Island ferry service will resume Monday using an auxiliary dock, Department of Natural Resources spokesperson Tyler Jones said Sunday. What's more, many pharmacies serve as a convenient destination for all sorts of essentials, from aspirin to mascara. Big chains like Walgreens and CVS make their money in two main ways: selling prescriptions in the back of their stores and selling everyday goods out front. As Walgreens and CVS stores have proliferated over the past decade or so, many of their locations are basically right on top of each other. On the other end of the business, pharmacies are expensive to run. In the current landscape of commoditized pharmacies, there's no such thing as personalized service.

The presidential race remains razor close, with control of the White House at a coin-flip. AdvertisementIn just over two weeks, Election Day 2024 will be here — a final cap to a wild, at times unprecedented presidential fight that, for the moment, remains far too close to call. Noted election forecaster Nate Silver's model now shows Trump with an extremely slight lead in what continues to remain a toss-up race. Harris trolled Trump on Friday for being "exhausted," referencing a string of interviews he has reportedly walked away from. In the overwhelmingly conservative state, there's a swing district, the Omaha-based Nebraska 2nd.

“The polls — public and private — are closer in this election than any I have ever seen,” said Dan Pfeiffer, a former aide to Barack Obama. Republican pollster Frank Luntz summed up the election with a single gif: A coin flip. The Trump era brought a return of uncertainty after most pollsters and prognosticators missed his 2016 victory, and 2024 is the narrowest polling election of all three of his runs. In 2020, the data correctly predicted Joe Biden’s victory, but Trump came much closer than many expected. “This race is remarkable for its closeness but also the insane stability of polls here in the closing weeks,” said Republican pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson.

One in four American adults suspect they might have undiagnosed ADHD, according to a new survey commissioned by The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and College of Medicine. Currently, just over 4% of adults aged 18 to 44 actually have a diagnosis of ADHD, according to Ohio State clinical assistant professor Justin Barterian. This disparity may be due to the prevalence — and popularity — of videos about ADHD on social media, university researchers speculate. On platforms like TikTok, videos like "5 signs you have ADHD" and "How to spot an ADHDer in public" have over 100,000 likes and even more views. "But just because we have that occasionally doesn't mean that we meet criteria for ADHD."

The musician Florence Welch, photographed in London on July 5, 2024. For nearly two decades, Florence Welch’s songs have offered a mythic view not only of pop music but of the glories and rages of being a female artist today. When I rang the Camberwell, South London, doorbell of Florence Welch, I held a tribute: “The Penguin Book of Spiritual Verse” (2022), edited by Kaveh Akbar. Exacerbating the mixed craving for and fear of having a baby and what it would mean for her art, Welch feels the intense pressure of aging as a female performer. Art begins in the body; art is limited by the limitations of the body; at some point, art exceeds the body and can live beyond the scope of flesh.

CNN —A Travis County judge granted a Texas House committee’s last-minute temporary restraining order request against the state just 90 minutes before Robert Roberson was scheduled to be executed Thursday. While authorities have not confirmed the execution is delayed, Roberson’s attorneys and the committee fighting for him told CNN they believe the execution is currently halted. “This is an injustice and his blood is on Abbott and Anderson County,” she told CNN. I did not hear his voice,” Brian Wharton, the former detective who oversaw the investigation into Nikki’s death, told state lawmakers Wednesday at a hearing featuring the case. I don’t want to be there, I don’t want to watch it happen,” Wharton told CNN.

The musician Florence Welch, photographed in London on July 5, 2024. When I rang the Camberwell, South London, doorbell of Florence Welch, I held a tribute: “The Penguin Book of Spiritual Verse” (2022), edited by Kaveh Akbar. Chanel coat, price on request, (800) 550-0005; Valentino tights (worn underneath), $1,000; and Welch’s own dress, headband and jewelry. Exacerbating the mixed craving for and fear of having a baby and what it would mean for her art, Welch feels the intense pressure of aging as a female performer. Art begins in the body; art is limited by the limitations of the body; at some point, art exceeds the body and can live beyond the scope of flesh.
