Linde Why we own it: The industrial gas supplier and engineering firm has a stellar track record of consistent earnings growth. We're not the only investors who have come to covet the company's ability to deliver steady earnings growth regardless of the economic conditions. But if there is a worsening of economic conditions, Lamba said Linde will take action quickly to protect profits. "That was just a very solid quarter," Jim Cramer said Friday. Guidance For the third quarter, Linde expects adjusted EPS in the range of $3.82 to $3.92, implying 5% to 8% growth compared with the year-ago period.

Related storiesNow, with "Guess," Eilish enters as both a foil and hopeful love interest. She sing-raps as if she's responding to Charli's original lyrics, breaking the fourth wall with a seductive wink: "Charli likes boys, but she knows I'd hit it." In the "Guess" remix, Charli tweaks her own verse as a nod to Eilish's new era: "Wear 'em, post 'em, might remix it / Eat it up for lunch, yeah, it's so delicious." Eleven years ago, in 2013, Holder said that Mohammed and his associates would have been “on death row as we speak” had the case gone to federal court as he proposed. But he blamed Congress for blocking a federal trial that would have resulted in swifter justice. They were dealt a bad hand by the political hacks and those who lost faith in our justice system,” Holder said in a statement to NBC News on Thursday. “If my decision to try KSM and his confederates in the tested and effective federal court system had been followed they would be nothing more than a memory today,” Holder said. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., said he’s “long advocated that our federal court system is perfectly capable of conducting this kind of trial” and was well-suited to handling serious crimes.

The firm, which supplies aviation giants Boeing and Airbus, also said it would resume dividends for full-year 2024, starting at a 30% pay-out ratio of underlying profit after tax. "These results and our increased financial resilience give us the confidence to raise our 2024 guidance and reinstate shareholder distributions in respect of the full year 2024 results," Erginbilgic added. Washington, D.C., Attorney General Brian Schwalb sued the online ticket exchange platform StubHub on Wednesday, alleging deceptive and unfair pricing. The lawsuit claims StubHub uses deceptive advertising of low ticket prices to lure consumers who pay vastly more after an arduous checkout process. "This is no accident — StubHub intentionally hides the true price to boost profits at its customers' expense," Schwalb said in a statement. In its lawsuit, the attorney general's office said that from 2014 to 2015, StubHub used "all-in pricing," in which the advertised price included mandatory fees. The complaint alleged that StubHub did a testing period where it randomly assigned consumers to one of the two models.

"Based on discussions with the Trump Organization, my understanding is that the Trump Organization does not intend to develop any estimations of value for any entity, the Trump Organization as a whole, or the guarantors' collateral," Jones wrote. Donald Trump no longer intends to calculate his own net worth for financial statements, this excerpt from a new report reveals. He has issued these net-worth statements — 20- to 30-page balance sheets formally called Statements of Financial Condition — since at least 2004. The firm declared the whole previous decade's worth of net-worth statements unreliable in 2022, saying it would stop preparing them. New York attorney general's officeThroughout the decade's worth of net-worth statements, Trump ignored generally accepted accounting principles, the AG and judge found.

NRA lawyers pointed to his sudden, mid-trial resignation as welcomed proof of a "course correction." New York Attorney General Letitia James wants Wayne LaPierre barred from resuming any financial role at the NRA. The NRA also hasn't ruled out the possibility of paying for LaPierre's continued legal fees, James' lawyers said. The nature of illegal lockouts means they are hard to track directly. One of the responding officers calls a sergeant over, who says there's nothing else they can do. While only 14% of lockout calls led to a police report, 86% of calls about shoplifting did. As they walk over, one of the officers tells the other to look up "illegal lockout" on his phone. Trump is arguing that Jack Smith – who has brought charges against Trump in Florida and Washington, DC – was unlawfully appointed as special counsel. At the center of Trump’s argument is the claim that the Attorney General Merrick Garland does not have legal authority to appoint someone as special counsel who hasn’t confirmed by the Senate. The Justice Department says the attorney general has ample authority to appoint “inferior officers,” which would include special counsels. “This Court should hold as a matter of law that the Attorney General lawfully appointed the Special Counsel,” the attorneys wrote. Almost inverse from Trump, Biden argued that special counsel David Weiss was unlawfully appointed because he was already in the federal government and therefore not fully independent.

The lawsuit accuses the couple of targeting Haitian immigrants in New York City to recruit them into the pyramid scheme using local prayer circles. After founding NovaTechFx in 2019, Cynthia Petion rebranded herself as the "Reverend CEO," claiming that her company was "God's vision," the lawsuit says.
