Mark Cuban knows what sets successful people apart from the crowd. Cuban, 66, is both a self-made billionaire and a longtime startup investor who's listened to many business pitches in more than a decade on ABC's "Shark Tank" and mentored dozens of entrepreneurs he's helped fund. You could land a coveted job, negotiate like a "Shark Tank" investor or launch a lucrative side hustle by mastering a specific handful of hard and soft skills, says Cuban. Here are three pieces of advice from the billionaire:Focus on 3 soft skills to land a jobWhenever the job market seems daunting, you can always fall back on the same three soft skills, Cuban says: agility, curiosity and adaptability. "I can pretend that I'm going to be able to predict where AI's going and the exact impact on the job market, but I'd be lying," he says.

I do think that seeing a woman on the ballot will, hopefully, encourage more women to vote, even if they don't vote for Harris. At the time, I thought it was going to be a landslide, like 'We're about to have our first woman president.' I don't think everybody in the U.S. will ever be ready for a woman president, but I don't think everybody in the U.S. was ready for a Black president either. Even if Kamala wins, I don't think everybody in the U.S. is ready for a woman president, just like they weren't ready for a Black president. I think Harris is just bringing a lot of new people into the process who haven't necessarily felt included before.

WASHINGTON — Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday said she strongly disagrees with criticisms of groups of people based on the candidate they support. “President Biden was very clear that he’s speaking about the rhetoric we heard at that [rally] so it doesn’t undermine it," Walz said on "CBS Mornings." Harris has sought to walk a fine line in criticizing Trump while not alienating his supporters, pointing to Trump's divisive rhetoric. During an interview this month on Fox News, anchor Bret Baier asked Harris if she thought Trump voters were stupid. New York CNN —“Jump ball.” “Coin flip.” “Toss up.” “Dead heat.” “Deadlocked.” On TV and online, political analysts are running out of ways to say the presidential race is effectively tied. As CNN’s Dana Bash said on “Inside Politics” Tuesday, “this race could not be closer.”In this final week of the campaign, the most important thing for the news media to communicate is uncertainty. On the right, former President Donald Trump and many of his right-wing media allies are expressing unbridled confidence that the Republican is going to win next week. “I spend more hours figuring out ways to say this race is close than New Yorkers spend in traffic,” Enten quipped. Washington CNN —Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday distanced herself from President Joe Biden’s comments that seemingly referred to Donald Trump’s supporters as “garbage,” setting off a political firestorm a week before Election Day. “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said, pausing for a moment before continuing. Harris’ campaign was quick to try to publicly defend or explain those remarks publicly. As CNN has reported, there had been growing wariness among Harris campaign aides about Biden’s propensity for gaffes, at a moment when the campaign does not want to take any unnecessary political risks. Tuesday night’s “garbage” comments from Biden only ended up confirming those existing concerns for many Democrats.

Mark Cuban says he hates golf. On Friday's episode of ABC's "Shark Tank," he offered $1 million to a company selling portable golf courses anyway. The San Francisco-based company BucketGolf, run by brother-and-sister duo Tyler and Jenny Simmons, sells a game that resembles golf, with foldable buckets as holes that can be placed wherever the players choose. The company was on track to bring in more than $12 million in 2024 sales at the time of the episode's taping, said Tyler Simmons, the company's CEO and founder — up from $5.9 million in 2023 and $2.5 million in 2022. Entrepreneur Mark Cuban speaks at a campaign event for US Vice President Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris at University Wisconsin-La Crosse in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on October 17, 2024. Billionaire investor Mark Cuban said Sunday that he is not eyeing a White House cabinet role even as he vigorously campaigns for Vice President Kamala Harris in the race against former President Donald Trump. I have no interest in serving in the cabinet for Kamala Harris or anybody," Cuban said in an interview on ABC's "This Week." As he stumps for Harris, Cuban has occasionally injected his own policy visions for a hypothetical Harris administration, especially on corporate regulation. "I think the bigger picture is she's hurting more than she's helping," Cuban told Semafor, speaking mainly of Khan's efforts to break up Big Tech companies.

That was not the solution I was expecting to hear, especially on the eve of yet another embryo transfer. He brought me in for additional ultrasounds and another hysteroscopy, and he tried different hormone regimens — all as we moved toward another embryo transfer. Four months later, and before we underwent a fourth embryo transfer, we found out we were pregnant naturally. The procedures and doctor visits felt endless, but with new hope, we barreled forward to a fourth embryo transfer, despite my thin lining.
